After hearing the The Boat was a good place to eat with nice views of the Wye river, the wife, 2 friends and myself booked for Sunday lunch. The pub is nicely furnished, clean and staff are very pleasant. The menu included 3 options for Sunday Lunch or anything off the normal and specials menu. We ordered 4 Sunday lunches...

Made a large booking for family celebration , waited nearly over 1hr to be served , then another long wait before food arrived , dessert orders taken yet again had to wait over an hr before it arrived . Seating arrangements were unsuitable for a large party , squashed like sardines in a tin , waitresses not at all friendly...

Another fantastic meal for two at this lovely riverside pub / restaurant. Landlord is a real character. Staff a friendly. Food again superb. Could spend hours watching the river. Had whitebait and halibut and garlic mushrooms followed with plaice. Both sets of meals were perfectly cooked with generous portions. Wish this place was a lot closer to my home.

We ate at The Boat on two consecutive nights while staying at the nearby (50 meters away and completely awesome) Agents House. The Boat consists of a public bar a lounge bar and a dining room with a large terrace off. The Inn is situated on the banks of the River Wye so there are really nice views across the...

Had a meal here but very disappointed not up the usual standard at all , the cod fish I had you would have been very disappointed if you had it from your local fish and chippy far to small the you would give to a small child wish I had gone to the Castlefield now !

The room was shabby and the carpet was filthy and not been vacuumed. The bed had no mattress cover or pillow covers, not acceptable in this day and age. The shower poured water out from the main unit and not the show head. When we did get it to work water dribbled out luke warm. The absolute worst thing was...

The room was not ensuite and was grubby and shabby. The one toilet shared between 3 double rooms was dirty and stained with overflowing toilet roll holders etc from the bin. The bedding was creased with no mattress or pillow protectors. The rooms were directly above the bar and the very loud music continued until after 11 pm. The staff...

This is one of our favourite restaurants in hereford, there is so much to choose from on the menu and it's always so delicious! I would highly recommend the lamb shank! Beautiful setting and friendly staff

The rooms are shabby with poor quality bedding and the door wouldn't shut properly. The one toilet between six of us was dirty. There was loud music in the bar until very late despite the fact that we had asked for it to be turned down and were told it would be.The shoer was very intermittent with an electric shower...
