well we had business in Luton so thought lets revisit the White hart Inn. After an excellent stay in 2016 we thought it was cheap enough to have a treat rather than drive the 200 miles home in the same day. I was not disappointed. Again a comfortable room....well suite....and the picture postcard village make the visit. The evening meal...

Tasty food and a varied menu in an attractive venue. Good service and cosy environment. Dorchester is a really attractive village to visit and the hotel was beautifully presented. The meal represented excellent value for an imginative menu.

A large group of us stayed at The White Hart on Saturday night following a family wedding reception. We called up prior to leaving home to see if we could have a room made available in order for 6 of us to get changed before the ceremony, we were told they would try to accommodate this but couldn't guarantee it....

This is the first time we have stayed in a pub hotel and wasn't expecting much, especially as it is one of the cheapest places we have booked of late. What an absolute treat! From the olde quirky reception to the stunning dining room and pub. Proper country old. The rooms were great ours had stairs leading into the smart,...

This hotel has a lovely cosy feel to it with comfy sofas and a log fire. The twin bedroom was light, clean and spacious with a large en-suite bathroom. The breakfast was freshly cooked and tasted great. The staff were friendly and helpful. If the tiles were not cracked and a bit wobbly in the bathroom then I would rate...

We attend a 60th birthday party for approximately 30 people. There was a sit down meal, the food quality was outstanding, as was the service. Congratulations to Sean Harris and his team. He provided a side room for a Champagne reception and served up some amazing canapés.

We were in Oxfordshire to dine at Le Manoir and didn't want the huge extra expense of staying there. We chose the White Hart from Tripadvisor reviews but were not impressed. Because of the nature of our trip I paid for the upgrade to a suite which was in a separate entrance from in the car park. The bedroom &...

Dear Mr Waterman Thank you for your honest feed back almost four months from your stay. It is a shame your concerns about using the bathroom downstairs were not mentioned on check in. On a Sunday night I am sure we could have found an alternative for you. I am sorry the stay did not satisfy you - we are...

We went for a walk around Dorchester, lovely village, friendly people, great countryside. However after walk very disappointed to find that this and other hotels/bars were not dog friendly. So unable to even stop for a coffee. Would not recommend if walking with dogs.

Lovely character property, Well supported by the locals, warm friendly. Bedrooms and bathrooms all a decent size and well furnished. Good location and quiet. We ate at the restaurant which I would recommend. Breakfast good also.

Stayed for one night when we were walking a section of the Thames Path. Lovely old building with very reasonably priced rooms. Good breakfast and we had dinner there too, also nice. Best thing though was the friendly service and they went above and beyond when they dropped off my kindle as our next hotel when I left it behind.
