Room was dark and depressing. Bathroom was quite modern but windows were clear glass so neighbouring properties could see all! Service was ok but hardly helpful- no willingness to find anywhere we could secure our bikes. We padlocked them to a pipe outside the bar and hoped for the best. Restaurant did not look good so we went over the...

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The managers (they said) are new but...try these for a catalogue of disasters: claimed not to have received sizeable deposit; breakfast on first morning took one and a half hours to be served; no card service (cash only from the cash point outside hotel); weak excuses. Almost ruined a family...

We came upon this charming hotel by chance whilst traveliing through to the west country. we were warmly welcomed an denjoyed a great 2 days at the hotel. The hotel has recently had a change of management and I do think that the previous reviews on the site are mainly due to the previous management. The food was great and...

We booked 1 double and 1 large double for 2 nights. On arrival, which was after 6pm, our large double wasn't even made up. The restaurant manager was highly embarrassed but was very professional - she was the best part of the Inn! We were given another room which was a simple double and had to ask for a reduction...

Stayed here for one night in a family room whilst visiting Longleat & Wookey Hole etc. We did not want to stay in one of the 'box' rooms at a Travelodge type hotel - when visiting this part of the country you need to stay somewhere that has some character and gives you a real flavour of the place -...

Hi - I stayed here last weekend and was extremely disappointed with the accommodation. Rooms lacked basic facilities ie. wardrobe, TV, hairdryer, loo roll holder and were not paritcularly clean. Breakfast swimming in grease. Rate charged £80 per night, which was a complete rip-off.

“We were given two rooms next to eachother as the family room had gone and we have three children. This worked well and they gave it to us for the price of the family room rather than charge us for two. Very kind, accomodating people.”

“Room 8 has a low double bed and two singles, the bathroom is large with a bath & a hand held shower however we all took the time to bathe and wrap up in the large fluffy towels so it was no hardship! It's right at the top of the building with lovely original beams..easy paced stairs”
