We had booked a four-night stay in a Superior Double Room at the Falcon's Nest, with a clear understanding that we would be in a front sea view room which was described in the hotel documentation as an "elegant room". On arrival we were taken to a small room at the back of the hotel which looked out on to...

The accommodation was great with good size lounge/kitchen area and good size double bedroom. The second bedroom was also a good size with two twin beds and not the bunk beds that we were expecting. Obviously the apartments get a lot of use and so there are marks in the beige carpet and a scuff marks here and there on...

Hotel in need of major refurbishment . Decor drab carpets tired . We were located on the top floor no lifts so a hike up the stairs every time you went back to sets the room not suitable for anyone with a heart condition . Room equally depressing our view was of a run down buildihg / pigeon roost and...

Stayed for one week end of August, lovely established family run hotel full of nostalgia, surprisingly two bars, a coffee lounge overlooking the bay, unbelievable breakfast in a super banquet room more suited to royalty! Rooms are spacious slightly outdated but clean and the position is right on the promenade with magnificent views. Very central in the town with their...

.......good views, good people, and a crapper the Blessed Virgin Mary would be honoured to pitch a loaf in. Clean cutlery before the meal, clean plates after the meal, and a clean bum after that glorious log was launched.

We stayed for 2 nights to attend a wedding. Staff were all fab- really helpful. Loved the views to the beach from the bar area. The rooms were extremely clean- especially the bedding and towels. Our room was a little dated but perfectly OK for what we needed. Tea and coffee provided and a good hair drier. My only issue...

My husband and I are still staying at this lovely hotel which was initially Port Erin Castle. Please do not be put off by its low star rating; although a little tired it should be 5 star based on the wonderful staff and attention to detail. We are staying in room 1 which is more like an apartment. Beautiful large...

Lot's of stairs left me winded. Good, not great, breakfast buffet. Disappointed no common room just a bar and different restaurant spaces. Felt the mattress springs.Front view magnificent. Close to swimming beach but in august gale force wind made it too cold to swim. IOM is a gem, unique. It's lovely, peaceful, wide open vistas, no crowds.

The pluses were the staff, cleanliness, location and the well kept beer. The minuses were the below par breakfast which was generous but just not very nice Eg plum tomatoes and stewed bacon and the decor. The Decor was a little depressing and paint peeling caused by dampness in one area beyond the main public areas. I think overall the...
