We stayed here on the 20th November 2016 for two nights. We had previously phoned to arrange a loch view room as they were getting the best reviews from previous reviewers. On arrival we were allocated room 25 which appeared to be a good room with reasonable views of the Loch. Went for a walk around the grounds and the...

It is a number of years since we last visited Stonefield castle hotel. We were really looking forward to our brake. Well I can honestly say we were not disappointed. The staff although different of course, they were friendly and helpful. The room was warm clean and very welcoming. I loved the little touch of a little stuffed dog to...

Great value for money. Staff cheerful and helpful. Place packed and noisy but great fun to be part of it. We had pizza with lots of authentic toppings. We had not booked so had to wait but it was worth it. Make sure you book before you go!

This was the second time we had visited the castle and it didn't disappoint. The setting is beautiful. Be careful of the drive though as there are a few really big pot holes! Don't let this put you off though as the castle is well worth the stay. The rooms have recently been refurbished. They are kept very clean with...

Stayed here many times on my way to the islands close by. Just outside a nice harbour town , it is a castle on at the side of the sea ! Very period interior , roaring fires in the winter months and a very nice restaurant with great views overlooking the grounds and coastline. The mobile signal isn't great but...

A stay at Stonefield Castle is a true joy, in my opinion best for couples who desire a remote and peaceful getaway, who wish to immerse themselves into a sampling of history's more romantic times. You can stroll the beautiful gardens, rolling evergreen streams and views of the majestic Loch and the natural Scottish countryside to your heart's desire here....

We calculated that we have visited Stonefield Castle 16 times and these have been almost invariably memorable breaks. This one was no exception. The new chef is to be congratulated and we enjoyed the monkfish, the scallops and the pork cheeks. We wish the new general manager Stephen well and thank Anne, who is apparently moving to another position for...

Just spent the night in this hotel. Firstly the road going to the hotel needs some TLC but your car should handle it ok. The "castle" itself looks grand as you approach & certainly has fantastic views. The back of the hotel has a modern extension attached which although understandable is a bit disappointing to view. We stayed a garden...
