We were surpised how many nationalities were staying and up scale this little hotel was, and how comfortable we were made to feel, the food (especiallt the scallops) was fantastic, the room was small but well equiped and very clean, but had a fantastic view. Staff were all smart and friendly, nothin was too much trouble. Great stay

Arrived off the late ferry, was given a meal in a very cosy restaurant that was very very good, had a drink at the well stocked whiskey bar and had a great nights sleep in a really comfortable bed in a smart room overlooking the beautiful loch. And all at a great price. Will be back as soon as i... More

We came upon this hotel when looking for somewhere to stay after deciding our booked accommodation was below standard. When we enquired about a room the receptionist was extremely helpful and thankfully there was a twin room vacant. The room was fine if a little dated and the plumbing definitely needed sorting out but it met our needs for the... More

Absolutely fantastic hotel. The most comfortable hotel I've ever stayed in, the beds were fantastic and the lounge was incredibly comfortable. Really could not ask for more on that front. That and the Wi-Fi is fantastic, be aware however the mobile signal is very limited so if you're a serial texter then be prepared to be away from your phone.... More

Rocked up at the West Loch Hotel (South of Tarbert) looking for dinner because their were roadworks going on that prevented us getting into Tarbert itself. We received a warm welcome and the service was excellent - patient and helpful. With four of us, we should probably experimented more but we expected the prawns to be good with the fishing... More

I have been staying regularly at The West Loch for the last 2 years through work commitments. I cannot praise the Hotel and Staff enough. The management team run a warm and welcoming hotel, more or less a home from home. The level of service is exceptional, with nothing too much trouble. They know how to look after you here.... More

we were here to attend the Scottish series and choose to stay here just outside the village, and we were not disappointed, great room with a great view, our dinner was really fantastic and the place was packed, it was a great atmosphere, the bar was swamped with locals and tourists and the owner was a bit overwhelmed with orders,...
