We visited the hotel on 4th October and stayed for one night. The chef needs to be congratulated. Everything we had to eat was delicious! Overall the staff were the jewel in the crown of this hotel from the lovely receptionist to the waiting staff and manager when we checked out. The room had a beautiful view over the harbour...

I was here for a meal with a large group on Saturday. The staff could not cope with the numbers of diners and therefore service was very slow. The Pate was very nice but the Chicken Roulade very bland and dry. The sweet was a soggy brandy basket which had an "unusual" taste. Everyone I spoke to agreed that the...

Ate here on recommendation of our B&B owner and were not disappointed. The outside looks dated, but the location by the sea is excellent with plenty of parking on the seafront and in adjacent streets. We decided not to eat in the bar and walked through to the back room which was clean, light and airy. The waiter was a...

This hotel has a great strategic for anyone touring the Kintyre , Knapdale and .Cowel Region on a budget. Situated right on the sheltered and pretty fishing village harbour with views from the Bar across to the busy Tarbert Marina, there is no better site for a relaxing break. Downsides are the lack of a Lift so access can be...

We have just eaten at this hotel & what a find it is.The food was excellent. Plentiful, hot & extremely tasty. The service was friendly without being obsequious and, despite the fact that we ordered before 6pm (when evening service starts), our order was taken without hesitation. The menu caters for all tastes & ages and there is a good...

We went here for the 2 course lunch meal menu. The ambiance is nice and the place is clean and well presented. We had the soup to start with which was nice and homemade with bread followed by the fish and chips which was also good. The value was excellent at £6.95 for the 2 course menu. They have a...

We booked this hotel as there was a seafood festival on that weekend and Tarbert was busy - this was one of the few options available. We would not normally have chosen it, as it was right at the top end of our budget. We had a twin room with a harbour view. The room was a good size, clean...

Good all round food and drink and nice friendly staff well worth a visit if in town. Toilets a bit outdated and could do with a revamp, shared with bar and restaurant area. Bit crowed with 3. Overall we were not there to look at toilets so gets a pass mark for the food and the service.

Glad I hadn't read previous reviews before booking as I wouldn't have booked. Booked a harbour view room for my mum and I one night only, very spacious room and great view of the harbour. Beds very clean and very comfortable and no issue with shower/ensuite. Admittedly Scottish summer at it's best so room was chilly and heater on wall...

Can only describe this hotel as filthy! Room was a disgrace, filthy carpets, stains on bedding and towels, curtains hanging off, and a smell in the room which even an open window (which had to be propped open as it wouldn't stay open on its own) could not get rid of. Shower was pitiful with only a trickle of water,...
