A "proper" pub. Friendly welcome. Good basic food (sadly not weekends) and small clean bedrooms with comfortable beds. Certainly not luxurious but I liked the place. Locals drink and eat here and I felt welcome.

£35 per night is about right for this place. Clean enough but definitely no frills here. Stayed Friday and Saturday but very noisy on the last night. I Wouldn't stay here again but it's cheap, dry and clean. Bar food was ok but no service on the Saturday night.

this place is budget accommodation , but beds are comfy and clean and staff are charming and perfect hosts. I had dinner and a few beers, best described as good honest pub grub at very reasonable prices.

Promptly greeted and pleasantly welcomed. The room was more than adequate and the food was very enjoyable. I will be staying here again in the future. I recommend this hotel because the landlord and all the staff did everything they could to ensure my stay was enjoyable and comfortable.

I stayed here for a few nights in December 2015 and found the staff were very friendly. The mattress on my bed was less than adequate, but after speaking to the manager, this was changed for me. Overall, the place needs updating,as it has the potential to be so much better than it is.

Friendly staff and atmosphere, cheap, clean room. (Ok, a bit dated but that is what we expected so no complaints from us) Breakfast was nice. Landlord Neil was a nice, accommodating bloke and barmaid Lauren was nice and friendly. Got us out of a pickle when we needed emergency accommodation after refusing to stay in the absolutely disgusting Elephant and...

This hotel was vile and by far the worst place I have ever stayed in. The decor is not only tired, it is dirty with grubby carpets. My room was disgusting, the extractor fan in the bathroom was clogged with dirt and most of the ceiling was covered with very obvious damp. After I had a shower it stank of...
