Stayed for two nights with Lumino who as previous reviews suggest is very friendly and appears to enjoy greatly cooking masses of food for her guests, including early breakfasts, we speak little Spanish but had a fun time conversing. Nice terrace area to sit, room pretty good, compared to standard casa fair. Some building work on new rooms upstairs but...

I have taken some time to write this review. A friend is planning a trip to Cuba next month and she jogged my memory. I suggested she stay at this wonderful casa with its charming hosts and delicious food. We were spoilt here. I recall having a few impromptu salsa lessons too. We also booked a hike and coastal trip...

We stayed at Casa Lumino in March 2011 during our trip to Cuba when visiting Vinales. She's an amazing women who always tried to teach us some spanish through songs and drills during dinner. :-) All our excursion in Vinales, we arranged through her including horseback riding through tabak plantations and a visit to a mountain cave with small mountain...

Good sized room with a quiet and efficient remote controlled air con system, and a remote controlled fan. Comfy bed, big bathroom. Outdoor terrace area with seating. But this place is all about the owner Lumino who is equal parts mad, funny, helpful and caring. If you don't speak spanish she can be a bit much but her food is...

The room is clean with both a fan and A/C with 2 beds and a very nice bathroom. But the best part is the little "patio" outside the room that is yours. Flowers and plants and here you will be served a nicely cooked breakfast and other meals of your choice. The location is only a few minutes walk from...

We really loved the place, comfortable room, Great location (far enough from the loud square but close to everything) But most importently the worm hospitality of Lumino and Heriberto. They were really nice and funny, and we mannaged even without speeking spanish (it was more funny that way) The food was excellent!! they have an asado oven and we got...

Our travel agent recommended we stay at a CASA in Vinales and we're so glad we did. We were expecting Vinales to be a sleepy little country town, but when we arrived the (annual?) 4 day fiesta was in full swing! Heriberto, son of Lumino, led us from the plaza to their place, along an alleyway close by. The guest...

I loved my stay at Casa Lumino. The place is clean, tidy, comfortable and quiet. Good size room, comfy bed, lovely relaxing area with rocking chairs and my favourite, possibility to sit on the roof and admire beautiful views or watch the stars. Lumino and Heriberto helped me organising salsa classes, bike hire, bus to the beach etc, much appreciated...

This is a great Casa. We loved our stay here. We would have enjoyed it even more if we would have spoken better Spanish. Grandma Lumino is quite a character and full of interesting stories; a pity that we understood about 10 %. She will help you get around Vinales and arrange horse riding if you want it. And believe...

When we arrived we were greated by the son, he was very friendly and helpful. He arranged for our car to be watched overnight (this seems to be a very common thing in Cuba) and asked us what we wanted for dinner that night. His mother was the cook and cocktail maker and she was amazing. She spoke no English...
