We ate there twice in December. Both times the restaurant was fairly empty. Service was almost nonexistent at times. Two couples received their main course, but a third couple was not served until after the two couples finished. A fourth couple was not served until after the

We spent the day here following a recommendation of an expat Granadian. Wow she was not wrong, total peace and tranquillity. Great beach curving over half a mile with just 10 people that I could see. The forest and vegetation comes right up to the beach. There are gentle

We loved every minute of our stay at La Sagesse. Off the beaten paths, and away from the branded hotels along the south-west shore, La Sagesse is a perfect eco-friendly and intimate beach escape (12 rooms only) with a crescent shaped soft-sand beach perfectly lined by palm trees

This is the perfect original eco-resort. The beach is a blissful curved half-mile dream; the bar and restaurant serves up idyllic cocktails and excellent local dishes, and most importantly everyone who works there makes you so welcome that it feels like coming home. Our kids are

As we had a rainy day ahead, we decided to go exploring the island. Mid afternoon we stopped off here for lunch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant and beach were really quiet. All four of us went for the Caribbean Fish Tacos. We all liked them but my

I see that there is no a/c in the rooms which makes me very nervous. How hot does it get?
We were there in November- which is not the hottest time i think. But it was very pleasant, not too hot and there was a ceiling and floor fans to use

How is your establishment for a single female traveler? Also, is it better to taxi or rent a car?
It is very quiet with only 12 rooms. Not sure what you mean with suitable for a single female traveler. The owners are very helpful. It is quite remote 20 min by taxi to the main town also possible by bus during the week. Quite a hoot to go by bus. They have a great "associated" taxi driver that you can call and arrange tours quite easily with. He is an excellent guide and I really recommend him. If your stay is longer a rental car may be not a bad idea to be more flexible, but off the main roads can be quite an adventure.

Do you have an idea how much a bus/taxi would be from GND airport?
I'm sorry I don't recall. The owner has a local guy he uses. Perhaps ask him to organise the transfer.

"Phone a head and request a day visit"
"The cottage is great but is at end of property - view of sea not as good as apartment complex but wonderful if seclusion is a goal."
"Rooms overlooking the sea are nicest."
"All rooms are great, but the rooms in the Oceanfront Building offer even more seclusion and private verandas right at the beach."
"Fan-only rooms can get quite warm. Ocean front rooms bit older and more basic than Ocean View rooms. Rooms in the house are very spacious."
