This was an economical, tranquil and beautiful place to stay. The Gardens and pool were amazing! Everything was nicely spread out, you won't feel crammed together here. A very nice breakfast is included. You can walk to the monastery in about 15 minutes.

We stayed for 2 nights, in the "Hawaii" room out near the pool with a naturalized stone/rock bottom and 3 hammocks in a palapa for siestas. Breakfasts were good (included) and they make good espresso. Had one fish dinner there which was good. Loved the gardens and good wifi in the common area, nada in the room.

Izamal provides one with the experience of seeing the ruins of pyramids the Maya were forced to tear down pyramids to build a Franciscan monastery. There were several pyramids and Izamal was a center of healing. Macan che - has several hotel style rooms as well as several little "houses". The grounds are beautiful and well tended. The staff are...

We travel a lot and try and stay in this price range.....cheap and cheerful, my travel agent calls them. This disappointed in no way. Loved the dining room and the pool that reminded you of a cenote, the meals and great wine! Our little cabin was very cute and very clean! Next time would ask for unit off the road...

No one speaks English in this hotel and they don't even make a little effort to try to understand us. When arriving we struggled to communicate with them. They showed us the way to the room. We found a room full of dust and the smell was not good. The sheet were not fresh. We asked to change the room,...

Staying at the Hotel Macanche was a fabulous experience, I only wish we could have stayed longer. It is a really comfortable hotel and is just right for a totally relaxing break. The hotel layout is beautiful, with small units linked by gravel paths, set amongst lush vegetation, full of flowers and wildlife. The rooms are large and very comfortable,...

The grounds of this B & B are a tranquil oasis - cool and shady and so quiet you can distinguish different bird calls. Staff is friendly and efficient, and the breakfast with local fresh fruits and choice of eggs was filling and beautifully served. Room was comfortable and clean. I didn't give a five rating because the furniture is...

Spent 1 night with a friend and we stayed in the "India" room. Each room is decorated differently. We had a second floor corner room and even though we had air conditioning it was not needed. Our room had a large tub, which you don't see too often in the Yucatan. The hotel has a unique natural stone pool. The...
