We don't care for the big glitz and noise of Cancun...so staying in this quiet town and quiet hotel was a joy. Their food was always delicious and their service was always sincere and friendly. The biggest coup was that they connected us with our "tour guide " Israel. Israel turned out to be a shaman and a teacher. Every...

Only three blocks about .5 mi from the town center. Beautiful well kept gardens. We had a large room with a small kitchen area and long, covered front porch. Indvidual building for each habitation. Breakfast ample with juice, coffee, fruit plate, and choice of egg dish. Staff was excellent! Helpful, informative, polite.

My family and I have been staying at the Macanche for years, it has always been our favorite place to stay in Izamal. Now that we live in Izamal, when friends come to visit us we always lodge them there. The grounds are lovely and tropical, the rooms clean, pleasant, and artistic, and the staff is very friendly. Miguel is...

Once you enter the gate of this small B&B, you enter a garden of tranquility. Although the rooms in the cottages aren't that super, they are comfortable enough and lovely decorated. After all it is not a 5 star resort. I think their price/quality is very good. It is secluded, the swimming pool (like a Zenote) is small, but refreshing....

I give 5* to the wonderful garden of Macan Ché, a real gem! I give only 3* for the bungalow. We spent 2 nights in 'Safari' and I found it a bit basic, not what I expected from the reviews and pictures on the website. But the worst part was the mosquito problem! The room was full of mosquitoes! Never...

Cute little B and B in one of our favorite towns. The inn is private and relaxing. It isn't luxurious, but it is nice and met all of our needs. Our family was very comfortable in the Safari room, with 4 beds and more space than a typical room. The pool was small but nice and refreshing. It was really great...

Once through the door, a hidden tropical garden is revealed, complete with cenote style pool. Our room is very pretty with a jungle mural with a monkey and parrot in the trees. The room is comfy with a good bed, verandah and hammock outside. The staff have been very helpful, telephoning to book us on a tour and arranging to...

Macanche was one of our favorite places to stay on our Mexican vacation. My husband and I got a late start on the day we were headed to Merida, so we decided to drive to Izamal instead, where it would be easier to find our way around in the twilight. Macanche was on our list of hotel possibilities, and we...

This B&B had been recommended to us by some good friends who travel quite a lot so we were expecting a really nice stay. However, the hotel definitely didn't meet our expectations. The gardens and main area are quite lovely and relaxing, but the room left much to be desired. The bed was horrendously uncomfortable, old, and small, and there...
