We stayed here for 5 nights and absolutely loved the pousada. At first the stunning view, but also its small size (only about 10 rooms) so it does not get crowded. Also, it is situated in a calm side street but only 5min walk to the centre or the beach. Breakfast is outstanding and the best we had during our Brazil trip. The staff is very friendly. A place to recommend and/or return.
Calm and luxerious! We spent the day relaxing at the pool and enjoying the beautiful view. The breakfast is top notch and the service is great. The best thing about the room we had was the enjoyable shower. The hotel has a location between the city and the beaches.
We were looking forward to staying in Pousada Beijo do Vento since we booked the trip 6 months ago and we were delighted with what we encountered. Like most of you, I have seen the pictures and read the comments on Trip Advisor before going and I can tell you all, the photos do not do justice to the beauty of the place. It was the first time ever I was more impressed with the reality than the photos. It is absolutely gorgeous. We booked room 1, the best room in this 10 room Pousada and it was worth every penny. What a view!! The varanda blends with the natural reserve around seamlessly and the fact that there are no barriers to protect the edges just adds to the charm (not a room for kids). From the start, the whole week was very impressive. Check-in was easy, staff lovely and helpful, the grounds were spotless and the gardens were manicured, which for Brazilian standards, is very impressive indeed as it is a wild nature country. Big shout to Marcio and Nathan for the reception and the always present smiles. The room was just perfect for my wife and I. Simple, clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. The bed was excellent, with orthopaedic mattress as posted in a recent review. And to make it even better, a mosquito net all around the bed in perfect condition which allowed us to sleep most nights with windows open and forget the very good AC in the room and just feel the night breeze. The shower was great, even though the shower head could have been bigger, the water pressure was very strong and the bathroom was beautiful. The large sink in wood was a bonus as it had more than enough space for all our toiletries. The place is safe, protected and secure. (I am Brazilian so I can tell you... I have been to hotels in Spain where I felt less secure.) We could have slept with the door open if we wanted. The swimming pool area is a lovely space and again, provides exceptional views of the sea below. Nice sun-loungers, with mats, and a great deck. The whole time we were there, there was a real feeling of connection with the nature around us. The birds fly very close, the flowers are beautiful, and the small lizards come out in the morning to warm up on the stones. Very nice. We opted for the breakfast when we booked, even though there were some past comments about it attracting bees and other insects, and we were very happy we did!! The food was delicious! The area is open to the outside, so of course the local bees come to enjoy the free sugar but it was very well managed. The staff is always present to keep everything clean and covered with light cloths. The bees are harmless and their presence just proves that what you are about to eat is fresh and healthy. Some days there was no bees at all, and others there was. You never know. But it was great. Tapioca made fresh, eggs better than I tasted in 5-star resorts, cakes that are to die for... Yummmmmmy. The Pousada is smaller than I expected, which is good. All in one level, rooms close to the main building. It is on top of a cliff and we rented a car for the week and we were glad we did it. It’s a must, if you can do it. The reviews are right, it is a steep incline to go and come back from the beach, but it is possible if you are fit. Just to give a perspective, the car for the week cost R$775. The taxi to and from the airport would cost almost R$500. It is worth doing if you can. And you can go to beaches further away if you wish (we did) . Parking at the beaches for the day was about R$10 to R$20 and it was very safe. Also, to go to the restaurants and shops it was very useful. Arraial may be a small village but it is crowded and hard to park. Rent a small car. The Pousada Beijo do Vento may not be perfect to everyone, but it was designed to be a dream place and it is still kept to very high standards. Credit to the owner, Luciana. I have not met her but I met Bia, the manager, who is a lovely person and very professional. She was very helpful and sorted everything out not just for us, but for other guests as well. (I’m talking about small issues that happen in any place. As a manager myself, I always pay attention to these things.) If you are thinking about going, we recommend. It was lovely. Thank you to Jo and Milena in the kitchen for making the stay even more special by feeding the very small and cute monkeys with bananas when it’s early breakfast. It was the highlight of our trip. I took about 300 photos. And videos. Obrigado. PS Mosquito repellent is a must. Especially early morning and late afternoon. …
On top of the hill, close both to the beach and the city center. Incredible view from the swimming pool. It has a step return uphill from the beach. Doesnt get more romantic than what this Posada has to offer. Location 5/5 Breakfast 4/5 Clean 5/5 Service 5/ Ask for a ocean view room.
Great view, excellent staff. We were impressed with the food quality.... And is next to Mucuge street with all the little shops and restaurant.. is really a key location. calm place and good for relax...It definitely feels like paradise. 3 nights wasn't enough.
