Mar Paraiso is located on a clean, calm beach--and very quite in November during Covid-19. Double rooms are a bit small, so my wife and I booked a triple room. Great breakfast buffet (and you can order dishes too) starts at 07h00...everything else is on beach time, starting later in the day. Odd that there is no laundry service at the hotel and you will have to go into the village to get clothes cleaned (Diva's was great for 1 day service). For exercise you can walk on the beach or rent a fat bike. You can also work up a sweat walking up to the village centre for dinner in the evening (most places only open at 18h00). Frosty beer, caiparinhas and tropical cocktails are easy to find. The hotel restaurant provides a good service, and you order food and drinks poolside. The soups, seafood and fish are good the hotel but skip the beef. In town, the Italian food is everywhere, seafood is fresh and tasty, and sushi was excellent. Very good value for money. …

My wife and I, knowing absolutely no Portuguese, spent 3 Blissful days and nights at Mar Paraiso. The resort itself, being set right on the beach, was breathtaking. From beautiful beaches and beach activities, to the resorts beautiful pool, we never ran out of places to lie, swim, tan or rest. Better yet is that the resort is next door to a great water park where we also spent a morning having fun on the numerous rides! Each evening was enjoyed by taking a walk through the countless adjacent restaurants and shops before finding the right place to feed our appetites. Overall, an amazing stay and well worth the trip!
We are a family of 5 and have just returned from a 13 night stay in mar paridiso. We are Irish and we're attending a family wedding nearby. Most of the wedding party stayed in mar paridiso. We had booked a 2 bed duplex and on arrival we were upgraded to a beautiful 3 bed villa looking out on the beautiful beach. The villa was cleaned each day with fresh towels and clean bed clothes. We found the staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for us as we had 3 young kids. The breakfast was lovely but would be nice if they changed a few of he options. Omelettes on the menu would have been great!!! Overall we would definitely recommend this hotel and will hopefully be back one day.
If you want to see happy people and relax atmosphere during your vacation, don’t stay here. The location is great; however, the hotel is poorly run. The Room where is stayed was dirty and full of bugs. They offer free breakfast included with the rate, however, the food quality is not safe. My family got food poising from spoiled food. Also, the staff is unfriendly and almost rude. Based on the service personal attitude, one can conclude that they are extremely miserable working at the hotel. Also, they do lock access to the beach after 8pm, the beach front is locked and guests cannot use it. It was like being in prison with locked beach front. Don’t stay here, I did regret booking it. Next time, I will stay at Saint Tropez Hotel is a better choice in the area.
