Welcome to Wine Country Retreat, your “home away from home" in Hunter Valley's Wine Country. Our extensive property is set on 6 ha of park-like grounds with a pool, sauna and gymnasium and a fully licensed bar and restaurant. Our lovely studio rooms feature King-sized beds made up with fresh linen and cosy duvets, reverse cycle, tea/coffee making and a minibar fridge and complementary WIFI. Your en suite bathroom has fluffy white towels, shower, toilet, and vanity with quality Herbology toiletries. The kids will love collecting the eggs for breakfast, feeding our rescued farm animals or spotting the mobs of kangaroos that graze each morning neat the dam. Let them run wild, wear themselves out in the pool or on the tyre swing. You can relax in our guest lounge, grab a good book and have a glass of wine by the fire. There is no shortage of things to do here and we're just a few minutes-drive from award-winning vineyards, concert venues, restaurants and shopping.

Beautiful property, we had an amazing easter break here. Danielle and Andy went over and above to look after us, so helpful with local info. Facilities are fab, wine tasting on site, a sparkling pool, lovely scenery and very family friendly. The breakfast was amazing and plenty of activities for the kids and space to run around, we loved the free roaming ponies, pigs and chickens. The property is in a perfect location, so close to all the wineries and local restaurants, we would totally recommend and really enjoyed our 3 day vacation.

Totally relaxing for kids and parents. Rooms are very clean and sufficient. Wonderful location. Very scenic, lots of fun and safe activities (skirmish, laser tag, aqua golf, pool, bush walk) for kids. Kids can roam free in nature with domestic animals away from screens. Wine tasting tours and wine tasting evenings, fine dining arranged by host a must.

We had such a fantastic stay, the couple running it are really nice and very helpful, and their kids are friendly which was great as our kids played with them which was great. I could not recommend this accommodation more highly. The BBQ facilities are great and should be used and they have a bar with great wines and drinks which are reasonably priced which was great. Pool is great as well with a fantastic outlook and location. The animals are great for kids but can be a little rough for little kids but collecting the eggs each morning was a hit for our kids, and being able to order a full brekkie with on farm eggs was delicious and so good, and the kids loved the ordered pancakes too. Great location not to far from all the wineries and hunter valley gardens within 10mins but away from it all for a tranquil escape.

Stayed with several families. Kids had a fabulous time playing outdoors, by the lake, swimming pool, basketball. Danielle and Andy were amazing hosts. They booked our wine tours, organised in-house fine dining and wine tasting experiences. They also organised lot's of fun activities for the kids. Farm animals wondered freely around the property. Thank you for our wonderful stay.

It was fantastic to return to WCR! As soon as you arrive you are greeted with friendly smiles. The view from the dining room instantly makes you relax. I love the fact that each room has their own table and chairs to sit on the balcony for your morning cuppa but other options such as the bbq area, pool and dining room/bar for a sunset drink and delicious meal! All up fabulous accommodation in a great spot.

Our stay at the Retreat was awesome! Danielle and Andy were the best hosts - friendly, approachable, knowledgeable about the area and we felt like nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation was very relaxing - the room was well-appointed, the king sized bed was comfortable, the pool was inviting, the pond was soothing, the breakfast was delicious, the pigs and miniature ponies were very cute roaming around the property, and we really felt very peaceful sitting on the verandah enjoying an afternoon bevvy. We will be booking again and can thoroughly recommend this as a must stay!

The owner generously donated our prize of an overnight stay at this retreat and it was a very relaxing and tranquil stay. The rooms were were lovely and most comfy beds too! The setting was spectacular with wine vines , native bush and a fabulous pool and sauna area. It would be great for families with the local farm animals like ponies , pigs making themselves at home . A beautiful place full of lovely people and cute animals. We visit often with our family (3 kids) and love it more and more each time. So much to do or just relax and escape from the bustle of city life.
I would highly recommend anyone to visit and promise that you will not want to leave and will become regular visitors.
Highlights for us are the sunset drinks by the pond, sauna, chip and putt golf, cozy bar and lazing on the lounge by the fire. Kids love animals, bush walks, nightly bomb-fires, swimming pool and bike riding.

Had the pleasure of staying at Wine Country Retreat for 2 nights and the entire experience was fantastic. What a fabulous rural setting and a terrific place to relax and unwind. From the moment we arrived, Danielle and Andy made us feel extremely welcome and were the perfect hosts - warm, friendly and extremely knowledgable about the local area. The accommodation was great and the food we had in the restaurant was incredible (I'm talking 5 star!). A sensational place to relax and enjoy nature, as well as being only a few minutes drive from all the main wineries. We will definitely be back!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Wine Country Retreat. The cabins are clean and beds are comfortable. The grounds are spacious and there is lots to explore on the property. The kids loved interacting with the animals by walking and feeding them. Location is a short drive to wineries and everything that you need. Our hosts Danielle and Andy were welcoming and very hospitable, we will definatley be back.
