Detailed Reviews
After arriving in Lovedale on a very wet late March afternoon to find the accommodation we had originally booked was way below expectations, we set about an internet search of availability in the area and came across Burncroft. I made a quick call to see if we could be accommodated at such short notice for 2 nights.
John and Karen were really helpful and just told us to turn up when we were ready. On arrival we were given the choice of any number of rooms as we were the only guests in this mid-week (they are fully booked at the weekend).
Karen really couldn't do enough to help and given that we literally gave them less than an hours notice was quick to ensure we had milk etc for drinks. We were fortunate to have some supplies with us too as we were travelling.
We were given a quick tour of the independent building which houses 6 double, en-suite bedrooms, 3 at either end of the building. Two very large lounges one with TV and the other with wood burning fire and music station. A very large and well equipped kitchen and a dining table that seats 14.
Rooms were spotless, clean bedding and towels etc and basics in kitchen tea, coffee, sugar etc
Fantastic views of the vineyards. There is an outdoor pool but the weather wasn't quite on our side to utilise this.
All in all fantastic accommodation for couples or groups. Would highly recommend.

We spent such a fantastic weekend over here. The house is just great with all the facilities that we could need. There is no need to bring absolutely anything, all what we needed was there.
The rooms are super comfortable, impecable clean and with breathtaking views.
There are plenty positive things to say about the house and all of what it offers, however the highlight for us was the the way we felt there. We all felt at home while being there, in fact none of us wanted to leave.
Thanks a lot to Karen and John for making this beautiful place available for all of us!

We stayed as a group of 12 at Burncroft over NYE and all raved about how we'd be so happy to come back here another time.
Stunning views from every room, which each have their own bathroom.
A fully decked out kitchen, and beautiful formal dining table in a uber relaxed setting.
We had barbies, lazed about the pool, had lots of wine & cheese and played lawn games - such a great way to see in the new year!
The owners are right next door, but it's really no drama, as John & Karen really are the ultimate hosts. They'll leave you to it - or be as available as you want.
HOT TIP: The local Coles delivers - but don't bother with your kitchen essentials - they've got this covered.

Had a fantastic stay at burncroft. A group of friends I went up to the hunter for a quite weekend !
The guesthouse had everything we needed and more. The bedrooms all had ensuite and really comfortable beds.
The kitchen and bbq appliances were high quality.
The added bonuses of the Croquet and mini golf at the rear of the guesthouse are nice little extras to the guesthouse. I would highly recommend staying there and will go back again.

We visited Burncroft in November 2016 with friends and our baby girl and loved every minute.
The hosts with the most Karen and John did everything to make our stay as welcoming as possible including provide some excellent local knowledge for the best wineries and restaurants for us to visit.
We were fortunate enough to have the whole guest house to ourselves which was brilliant. The guest house is clean and well appointed with an amazing commercial kitchen where you can conjour up some culinary delights. The two living rooms are ideal for an evening of wine and food with friends. The grounds to the property are great with a small pitch and put, swimming pool, croquet area and also a lovely pool where you can keep cool in the hot sun of the day. We chose to buy food locally and cook it on the huge BBQ area and dine alfresco beside an open log fire (no fire ban during our stay...) whilst looking up at the stars and sipping on the vino.
Great stay, great people, no complaints and we will be back! Look forward to it!!!

For a quick weekend away for wine drinking, this hotel was perfect. Well stocked. Rooms with aircon and their own bathrooms and spacious shared areas that we seemed to always have to ourselves! Even a resturaunt down the road for dinner when we had drank too much to drive! Highly recommend this neat guesthouse.

Celebrated our Dad's 89th birthday at Burncroft last weekend - what a fabulous time! Six comfortable bedrooms and six ensuites (each with bath and shower) with a wonderful large and central kitchen, dining and lounge area. Perfect for our annual family gathering in the Hunter Valley to celebrate with Dad and out nightly dinners.
This is our third year and we love it more each time. Karen and John are friendly hosts who live next door but are very unobtrusive.
I highly recommend this as a family weekend location. We are considering a summer weekend to take advantage of the pool and outdoor living

Burncroft guest house is a hidden gem! It can accommodate 12 people and I visited with friends for a girls weekend. The guest house has a large lounge room and a spacious open plan kitchen/living room with a long table to seat 12 plus additional comfy seating. The gardens are very pretty and we saw kangaroos each day. There's also a pool and outdoor seating. Each bedroom is styled differently and includes its own en suite/shower and balcony area. Each room is equally nice and the whole house is very clean.
The guesthouse is in the heart of the vineyards and everything is within easy reach. The hosts - John and Karen were very welcoming and friendly and were happy to offer advice on things to do. Our breakfast in the morning included the eggs from the resident chickens which added to the feeling of being a million miles from the city. A lovely break and I will definitely go back.
