Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Yarra Valley Manor, the first homestead in the Yarra Valley region was built over 110 years ago and covered a sprawling 4000 acres. We offer six different accommodation options for couples, singles and families. Prices range from budget friendly to boutique luxury. Options include 3 two bed chalets, two one bed units and the heritage listed Manor house. The top floor of the manor house is completely self contained and similar in size to the chalets but comprises of a large new bathroom with large stand alone bath, two queen beds and one single bed, two toilets, a kitchen with stainless steel oven microwave, separate stand alone oven and its own private balcony. The property formerly had it's own bridge across the Yarra River and many buildings dotted the grounds (the Yarra River is now a 350 meter walk from the Chalets). Some of the original buildings were destroyed by fire but the 'Millgrove Mansion' (as it is referred to by the locals) escaped. The Servants Quarters, a long building with a series of quirky and unique rooms still remains, along with the 'Old Barn,' 'The Bakery' and the 'Firehouse.' ... more   less
