We very much enjoyed our stay at this B&B! Our room was spotless and comfortable. As others have mentioned, the owners Janet and Colin are extremely friendly and helpful but we also felt like we had privacy so it was a great environment for us. The garden setting was nice - if you like waking up to birds chirping, this...

Thanks for the review and we are pleased you enjoyed your stay and managed to stay on for the extra night. Two nights is a good idea if you are doing one of the adventure trips. It is always a good idea to book early during the summer season as most places, like us, are very busy.

We were late arrivals due to getting lost. But there was Janet waiting with the light on for us and a warm welcome. Straight away we knew this family was in this industry for love and not just for the money. The room size was perfect for us and we could not have wished for a better position. Just a...

We planned our trip to Waitomo at the last minute and I found this B&B through tripadvisor reviews. The stay was fine. Our room was part of the house and there was quite a bit of noise in the evening but things quieted down around 2200. We had a room with a queen and single bed and we had enough...

Thanks for the review. I cannot understand the noise till 10pm. Traffic in the village stops about 6 and there is virtually no foot traffic. Our guests tend to be on the quiet side and since the local pub burnt down there are few late-birds around. We will never get one bed that would suit all tastes as far as...

What a pleasure it was to spend two nights at this wonderful lodge. Colin and Janet are perfect hosts and can't do enough for their guests. You must try Colin's marmalade and take his advice on which attractions to see and where to go. Very comfortable room, great views and very good value. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the review. Waitomo is definitely a great place to spend a couple of nights and we are right in the middle. Just ask for advice on what trip would be best for you.

Lots of tips on where to go, home made biscuits and jam, grapes freshly picked from the pergola, comprehensive breakfast, clean and comfortable. Close to caves etc. Short walk to restaurant where I had a great steak. What more can you ask for?

Thank you for your kind words. We're glad you enjoyed you stay with us. Unfortunately the grapes are now going over and the wasps and blackbird and thrushes are finishing them off. The next to fruit will be the feijoas ....

We stayed here for just one night during our quick trip through Waitomo. This was the perfect place for our stay. Colin and Janet are great ... very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. If you have any questions, definitely ask them for help. The guest lodge is in a great location, easy to find, and close to everything in Waitomo and...

Thanks for the review. There is free wi-fi available in seven of our rooms, all we ask is that guests do not download films or files, as it clogs up our not-too-fast access to the internet. We have been promised high-speed internet by the government and the local exchange is to be upgraded mid 2014 to enable this to happen!!...

We stayed here for one night as we were taking my father in law from Ireland for a small tour of some sights in the North Island. We stayed in one cabin with our 2 kids and Grandad stayed in another cabin. All very comfortable, the place is so pretty with flowers and a gorgeous garden. Colin and Janet were...

Colin and Janet were very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Best bits: colin's home made biscuits. tips about the area and the free glow worm walk. allowing us to leave our food in your fridge even after we'd checked out. lending us towels for black water rafting. All you can eat grapes! Our room was spotless and had everything...

Thanks for the review. We don't get too many bugs in Waitomo, thank goodness, but we insect-screened all the windows in the units to try to stop any getting in and allow guests to sllep with windows open if they wish,

We had a very comfortable cabin with a nice view. The homemade cookies left in our room were such a nice touch of hospitality. Colin and Janet are very friendly, excellent hosts: for example, making sure we had plenty of hot toast with our breakfast, including gluten-free toast for my husband.

Thanks for the review. This room was our smallest room hence the great value. The two single beds in the room are relatively new so there should be no problem there.
