This place is great for the price before the high season begins at the end of June. We rented a two bedroom cabin which was great for 5 adults and 1 year old and our Boxer Lake was high that year(we stayed in 2014 but TA wouldn't let me change the date) boat rental was a good price, campground nearby as well as short drive to West Hawk Lake Falcon. Staff were always friendly and helpful - remember to buy extra TP at the store 2 ply will wreck their plumbing, bring bugspray, thermocell and screen tent(it should fit on the deck) the Misquitos loved us and met you as soon as you were out of the car

We had a great time at Caddy Lake this summer! I was referred here by the kind folks at Crescent Beach Cabins at West Hawk Lake because it was pet friendly. The owners are new owners and very friendly. They have 2 beautiful dogs themselves. We were in one of the older cabins. It was certainly rustic but we had everything we needed including a shower and an indoor cook surface and a big fridge. We had our entire family down for the first long weekend (6 adults and an 11 yr old). It was certainly full but we didn't spend that much time indoors with the huge deck and great weather. The rest of the week was only 3 adults and one child (oh and 2 dogs!). Don't go here if you want a marble bathroom or an exotic kitchen, although we didn't see the inside of the cabins up on the hill, lol. I look forward to the new owners doing more renovations and upgrades in the near future. The beach is fantastic! I would highly recommend bringing your boat or renting one or a canoe as you can access a fantastic waterway and go through a couple of tunnels by boat. We would definitely stay here again although we might spend a few bucks more for one of the more recently refurbished cabins with more space.

We rented a boat from Caddy Lake Resort on June 23rd to do some fishing and explore the lakes. Their service was awesome and the rates were great. Making a reservation was easy, the check-in was fast and each employee we dealt with was friendly and helpful. The boat was clean and ready for us. Had a fantastic 1/2 day on the lake and these guys made the process SO easy I just had to give them a shout out.

Such a Beautiful Location. Super friendly and helpful staff. We went Kayaking and rented their canoes to go kayaking through the caves. Their Kayaks were very stable which made me feel very confident renting and using them. It was a beautiful canoe trip on this very quiet peaceful settings. I highly recommend this place

Review is for boat rentals and the tunnels. They have various types and sizes of boats, with or without motors.Drivers license required and some forms need to be filled out. They also give you a quick intro on how top operate the boat and things to watch out for. Was a bit nervous since I've never driven a boat but got the hang of it quickly. We decided to paddle through the tunnels because I wasn't confident in my driving. In hindsight, maybe we should have slowly motored through like the others because it was slow goings with the heavy boat. Beautiful Canadian shield scenery. Saw a lot of backcountry camping spots throughout and/or people hangin out on the rocks. As for the resort area, there are picnic tables and a small beach while you wait for your turn on the boat. You can rent for whole or half day. My thinking is if you plan to not rent the motor boats, and want to visit the tunnels, maybe whole day is better because it's quite a long way on a kayak. Could easily spend a whole day here though, no matter what you decide.

Cabins are old and not very clean. Toilet was plugged and couldn't be fixed. It was leaking all around the toilet and under the cottage. The smell of sewer was stifling. We had to walk to a public outhouse to go to the bathroom. Staff was not helpful.

It's not worth it... they charge you for damage even if you didn't do it. The boats are in very poor condition. A motor fell off one of the boats that we hired. We had been very careful with the boats and the boat had not hit anything so it was obviously due to the boats being in such bad condition. We ended up being charged the full $900 even though the other 2 boats were undamaged.

I hear that the owners are new and are in the process of renovating so expect that the cabin will improve. What turned us off was the attitude of the owners. Not welcoming or friendly - all interactions involved paying them for something. Suggestions for improvement: 1. New mattresses 2. Gut and replace the bathroom (cabin #7) 3. Make your guests feel welcome: introduce yourself, provide them with some basic info (location of their cabin, where to park, warn them that the septic tank service will come twice in a week and you will have to move the car (thankfully we were in the cabin both times), tell them about the well water next to the playground (the tap water in the cabin is slimy even after it's been boiled), provide more than 1 roll of toilet paper for a weeks stay for 4 adults). 4. Provide some little perk (coupon for 1 free movie rental?, a free ice cream for the kids?, wifi password?). Overall, the location is great, lakeview is beautiful, cabin needs improvement but we won't be back because of the service.

The people running the boat rental place are awful and staff are just as bad. Condescending rude communication skills. They lack any ability to be pleasant or even half decent human beings.
There are so many good places to spend your time and money in the area so pick somewhere else. Would never return to Caddy Lake.
