Dwyka Tented lodge has just been reopened, and the rooms are amazing. Luxury rooms with an amazing bathroom, private jacuzzi on the deck, huge bathroom and outdoor shower (also one inside). Highly recommend staying here if you want luxury, personal service, good food, friendly professional staff and the most beautiful scenery. There are 2 game drives included each day and...

We drove from Capetown (3-4 hours depending how long you stop in wine country on the way!) with friends for a special birthday experience and stayed three nights at Tilney Manor. Everything about this safari trip exceeded our expectations. The beautifully appointed rooms, the welcoming staff, the animal encounters, the safari drivers, the food. In three nights we managed six...

This was our third visit to Sanbona - it is now an annual trip for us, and it felt like coming home. We stayed at Tilney Lodge and loved every minute of our experience. The staff and service are impeccable. The meals are well prepared and very generous. We were so lucky with our game viewing, and a massive thanks...

We traveled to Capetown SA Dec 26 –Jan 6. My husband could not stay for the safari part of our trip, so I was with my family and friends. We are all adults, but I will say that the grounds are kid friendly. A group of 16 of us stayed at the reserve for three days and we enjoyed every...

We stayed at the Tilney lodge in Sanbona Game reserve during their winter in June for our 1 year wedding anniversary for 4 days. I contacted Sanbona before hand to arrange a special surprise for my husband. They suggested either a romantic meal set up in our room or a boat ride with a lunch with the other guests. I...

As a first-time visitor on a business trip to Capetown and only a few extra days to add on, we decided on a stay at Sanbona. It turned out to be a great choice. The lodge was very well kept and exclusive, the staff was very attentive and the views were beautiful. We visited in the middle of the winter,...

We just returned from a trip to South Africa and visited the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve (Gondwana Lodge) while there for 2 nights. It was the highlight of the 10 days in the Cape Town area. It is located about 3 hours from Cape Town but well worth the drive! On the afternoon of the first day, we walked into the...

Wow! My husband and I spent 4 days of our honeymoon at Sanbona in Tilney Manor. We had an absolutely amazing time and cannot speak highly enough of the time that we spent there. Alvin, our ranger was informative, funny and accomodating. Thanks to Alvin we saw all of the animals. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. Dave...

We went to Sanbona for two amazing nights in July 2014 and cannot stop talking about it. We will be recommending this place to anyone that will listen. From the moment we arrived we were greeted like Family and sat down to a wonderful lunch and then went out for our first game drive and were pleasantly surprised as we...

The lodge in the middle of the Sanbona Reserve is a dream. Very spacious rooms with a view good for a movie make it nothing less than a perfect little hotel on a 5 star level. The staff at the lodge is very friendly (as always in South Africa), guides during the daily two «game drives» are very knowledgable and...
