We often go to Avalon Springs and specifically lodge in the Mountain Chalets. This time was no different and we had a great time out again. The units have aged a bit and requires some revamping, but on the whole it is a great resort and we will continue to go there given the opportunity. Perfect for families with children... More

My husband recently bought us a weekend stay at Avalon Springs as part of my birthday gift. Never having been before , I was uncertain of what to expect. As it turned out, we had heaps of fun and a very relaxing time. The staff were warm, friendly, accommodating and down to earth. The springs are everything they say they... More

We called on Friday (knowing that its normally fully booked in advance) to see if there might be any cancellations for us to have a relaxed hot water weekend? The lady at reception said our luck is in, we could arrive the next morning anytime as the hotel room witch includes breakfast is not occupied on Friday night, she took... More

If we have to describe ourselves after our Avalon Springs experience it most probably will be something like: "Delightfully surprised and completely satisfied." From our arrival up to, and including, our departure we were made to feel special. We thoroughly enjoyed our Avalon Springs experience. If we are asked will we go again the answer will be an emphatic "Yes",... More

We go to Avalon springs every year, and this year we stayed at one of the timeshare apartments on the first floor. If you are a family or two couples, then it is worth it to stay in the mountain chalets which are much more luxurious and spacious. The apartment had everything we needed, fully equipped kitchenette, TV area, bedroom... More

Management need to inform staff how the rule is to be applied. Three young girls (the one has the name of Ruwaida, goes to the bar and requests 3x glasses of ice. The color of the glass content changes to blue once the girls added their own concoction.Clearly not bought at the bar.Gets into the swimming pool, light their cigarettes... More

Avalon springs is a great two night family get away for summer or winter due to heated pools both indoor and out. Affordable good value for money. Suggest self catering as food in cafeteria or resturant is not great except the breakfast. Chalets are simple but comfortable and have all that is needed. Lovely communal braai areas with relaxed atmosphere.

We were two adults and two small children. We stayed in the chalets and they were great. Clean, comfortable, well equipped and spacious (we were in 622). Other facilities were good and the kids loved it. Weekends and schools holidays can be busy and crowded, which might not suite all. The highlight was the staff. On the phone, helping with... More

When I entered the room I was shocked that it was a hotel room, I compared it to Caledon Spa. The room was more like self catering than a hotel room. The bedding is old and does not match, a royal blue sheet with a navy duvet cover and white pillow cases? I like the fact the room has a... More
