If you are really into the beach, this is the place for you. But honestly speaking this beach aint nothing to shout about. Head over to penang national park 's monkey beach instead where it's substantially clearer and relatively unmarred by human activities. In this case, it's also nearer than staying at Georgetown. There's also some beach sports activities along...

A big clean bed, bathroom with shower, air conditioning, and so close to the beach your feet don't get time to dry! What else do you need? This place was recommended to me from a local in George Town. I wanted someplace cheap, clean, safe and close to the beach for my 2 sons and I (aged 12&14). Family owned...

We felt at home in baba guesthouse. Very cheap, clean and friendly guesthouse. A few steps from the beach but a bit further from the city centre. (bus 101 is very near anyway and can take you anywhere on the island). But Batu ferringhi is not really worth the trip!

Just spent 11 days recharging at this perfect little guesthouse in Ferringhi. We have been traveling for 4 months and it was the perfect place for a timeout. Literally STEPS from the beach and for whatever reason, the beach is so quiet. Maybe a handful of people the whole time we were there. The rooms are decent sized, facilities work...

Friendly owners, he told us where the cheaper food stalls could be found in the area, and was chatty. Room clean ish (cobwebs), but fan rolms still very hot. Bathroom ok but a few ants running around. Overall relatively good for the money, fine for a short break.

IMHO both the town and the hotel are not worth visiting and staying. The hotel amenities are very basic with most of the guests being construction site workers which is not something you expect from your hotel. Indeed, it is stone thrown away from the beach but throwing stones is probably the only thing one can do at the beach...

I took bus no.101 to this guest house, stop at park royal hotel and walk 5mins. This guest house is just stone throw away from beach. Owned by a Chinese family. Just Good for budget trip. Nearby got plenty restaurant for food as well.

The guesthouse was clean enough, with only a few termites to deal with in one of the rooms. It was situated right on the beach which was a plus and the staff were friendly. I'd definitely recommend it over some of the other hostels here. Also just up the road on the left, towards the main road, is a great...

This a very simple But nice guesthouse family owned. They are kind and helpfull. The location is right in front of the beach. The beach is nice to walk but the water is not very good to swim. Batu ferringhi is not exactly a paradise but its ok to visit considering what the west side if malaysia has to offer...

Rooms are really basic - no decoration or furniture- but cleaness was really appreciated. We booked for two nights, but stayed more. Good location, close to the beach and everything. A special thanks goes to the Indonesian woman working there, always kind and smiling and keeping the whole hostel clean at all the time.
