Although we booked a room on the other side of Hopkins, I knew Kismet was where we were suppose to be as soon as we walked into Trish’s kitchen/dining room and saw what she was preparing for breakfast. It tasted as good as it looked. The homemade turnover was a special treat. We enjoyed our breakfast and the beachfront view... More

Hi Fitzi0, Thanks so much for your lovely review! There is nothing like having one of Trisha's delicious home cooked meals! Every meal is cooked with her guest in mind! It is always so difficult to find fresh veggies and greens in Belize, yet Tricia always makes sure her meals include some. Always adding some of this or some of... More

We stayed in the Cool Spot cabin, only a night because we had plans at a nearby caye, but a great place indeed and we could have stayed longer. The smaller rooms seemed nice but it was worth the small splurge to be right over the water The cabin was set for great sea viewing and air circulation to keep... More

Staying with Trish felt like being welcomed into her extended family. The cabana I had was about 4m away from the sea and I slept well under the mosquito net, with the doors open wide and listening to the sea. Supper was held in the kitchen/dining room with Trish and friends- which was lovely and felt inclusive. It is a... More

Trish and Elvis were great hosts and we had the best time. She even made us the best lobster dinner we have ever had. I'm so glad we met them. We are going back again!!! They treated us like family and we shared stories into the night. We are recommending them to everyone we know!

My stay at Trish's place - and my visit to Hopkins - was nothing short of kismet. Traveling Belize solo, I heard great things about Hopkins: "Hopkins is cool," "Go before it gets built up," and, from the owner of a hostel in San Ignacio, "Stay at a place called Kismet Inn, all the way down the beach." It all... More

I promised Tricia that I would write a good review because it deserves one so here's my additional notes to the previous reviews. First off, I have to say that I stayed here in February of 2014 and am now just getting around to this (sorry Tricia). I was traveling solo and met another backpacker while in Dangriga who was... Kismet Inn is a stunning place to stay. Tricia, the wonderful host is a great cook and no effort is too much for her to make your stay homely. Very beautiful surroundings, canoe trip to the lagoon by sunset, highly recommended, some 'slim fast' crazy dance nights out, the chickens, dogs and pig, the stunning ocean view, the best cooking... I was out for a weekend adventure and after spending 2 days in Placencia I decided to check out Hopkins. I had never been and never heard of The Kismet Inn.
