Coconut Row garners high praise for its enviable location steps away from the beach, eateries, and boutiques, although some guests mention the area can be bustling with noise. The hotel's range of activities and amenities, such as its acclaimed beachfront restaurant and inviting pool, are frequently celebrated by visitors. Exceptional service is a hallmark here, with staff members often commended for their dedication and assistance with tours. While the fusion of modern and traditional decor is generally well-received, the vibrancy of nearby nightlife may be overwhelming for some. Rooms are consistently applauded for their comfort, cleanliness, and amenities, offering guests a serene retreat with scenic views.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel in Hopkins with our family (partner, 3 year old daughter and 9 year old son). Modesto was super helpful and friendly in getting us accommodated from the time we messaged via email.

The property is conveniently situated just at the entrance of the Village, very close to supermarkets, restaurants, and the beach. I loved that the owner and management of this hotel take pride in keeping their beachfront raked clean every morning so there is no unsightly or foul-smelling sargassum here. Our kids loved that they could just walk from the room to the beach where the water is very clear and the sand is clean to play on. We had fun searching for baby conch shells and clams. In the mornings, the sea water is so calm, it seems to merge with the sky as the horizon is foggy and serene.

The property has a very nice and spacious swimming pool. The restaurant serves delicious food, we had breakfast and the kids loved it. The staff here is super friendly and accommodating. They served us a welcome drink which was a coconut with a straw, super tasty and delicious.

The suite we stayed in had two separate rooms, a kitchen with dining, and living room. There are no TVs here which I think was great because it allowed us to bond more with the kids. They do provide board games, cards, etc. for your entertainment which is a plus. There are hammocks outside which our kids enjoyed playing in. There are also kayaks for you to use. We were looking forward to using it but we never found the time after all. They also have their own tour company to book your tours and transfers directly with them.

I met Damian, the owner. He's a great guy and it shows that he takes pride in ensuring that his property stands out as one of the best in the village and it surely does. If you're looking for a place to stay in Hopkins that is very clean, relaxing, and conveniently situated this is the place for you. You won't regret it.

this is our second trip to Hopkins and our second stay at Coconut Row, we had the coconut cabin whish is a stand alone cabanna on the beach less than 30 ft away actually. It self contained with a huge bed beautiful bathroom with a great big shower. There is a small fridge and coffeemaker .. there is AC in all the cabannas if you like to cool it down at night. Each Cabanna has its own private little deck where you can watch the sun come up over the Carribean which i did every morning. The staff are a delight, they make sure everything for your stay is just the way you like it. The cleaning crew is fantastic and our cabanna always looked incredible when they had finished, We moved to one of the other units before we left it was called the Coco Caribe which was even larger than the first location having all the same things in the first cabanna we had been in .. the only difference was the huge deck that was ours alone. we could have had a party on it if we had chosen to. Without out a doubt this is our go to place in Hopkins.. It also has a full service resturant on site so if you choose to stay you can eat and drink here to your hearts content. Most of the dishes are local flavoured and so fresh .The warm smiles from the staff make you feel so happy and welcome.. fresh coconuts from the trees on the property fresh fish from the village fisherman and juices that were to die for .. if I have forgotten anything hum oh yes they have a complete tour company attached as well .. from snorkel to luminencense tours and all the normal ziplining and ruin tours .. these are great people and we recomend them to everyone. If you have kids they will love the beach. if all you wish to do is be a lizard and soak up the rays of the sun this is a great place to do it. We are already planning our next visit for next year about this time again we always go in Feb .. its cold and wet at home in canada
Come to Hopkins for Coconut Row.. enjoy the Garifuna Culture their drums will make you dance whether you want to or not ... the village is a great place to wander around.. make sure you chat with the people who live there they are friendly and can help out with suggestions of what to do and where to go... Hopkins and Coconut Row are fantastic .. the staff in incredible
as I say we will be back again next year for all the above reasons .. ask questions if you have any

I don’t normally write reviews but felt that it was necessary to give a shout out to Coconut Row and Hopkins. The ownership and staff pay attention to the little things that make a difference. Of course all the big things are taken care of as well. It is clean, quiet and comfortable. But as mentioned above it is the little details that separate Coconut Row from the rest, the room key even has a bottle opener attached. If you need something just ask and chances are you will get it. It is a small intimate resort with each of the units well separated from each other providing a good amount of personal space for relaxing. COVID protocols are strictly adhered to by all of the staff but it is not an issue to service.
There is a lovely small Restobar on site with good food and drinks but each cabin has at least a fridge so you can buy your own from the numerous small groceries within walking distance. The beach out front is cleaned everyday and the water has a nice sandy bottom for swimming or wading. The is an outdoor shower at each cabana for rinsing off the sand before entering. The staff and ownership are friendly and helpful as is literally every single person we met in Hopkins.
Hopkins is more Rustic then most tourist locations but the area makes up for it with almost over the top friendliness. There are also a good number of other places to eat within a short walk of Coconut Row. Don’t be put off by a venues appearance or by the people maybe hanging around a spot. Just go right up and start a conversation and you will be surprised by the friendly reaction you will receive and the amazing fresh food you will get. Most tourist areas have much more polished restaurants but few have as many that are this good and welcoming.
Stay for a while and get to know the people and area. You won’t regret it.

Coconut Row is a very enjoyable place to stay. After spending 4 days and nights there we hated to leave. My wife and I stayed in one of the well designed and nicely furnished cabins (Coconut Cabin) on the beach and near their restaurant and pool. This is a very well thought out and maintained property. The refrigerator, safe, king sized bed, beach chairs and hot water shower were some of the features we appreciated most. The couple who own the place also live there and are fun to talk to. Along with a dedicated staff, they keep an eye on everything. This is a very clean, quiet and secure place to relax. The restaurant, where we ate most of our meals, has a helpful staff and delicious food for a reasonable price. Their full day snorkel trip was the highlight of our trip. We highly recommend Coconut Row If you are going to the Hopkins area.

This place is family owned and located right in town, yet it has a beautiful beach. The atmosphere is very warm and the service is outstanding. They have a nice open air bar/restaurant and kayaks and bicycles are available along with beach furniture. It beats being isolated on an out-of-town resort and many restaurants, ice cream and services are within walking distance.

We came to go diving and easily found a PADI dive shop, Seemore Life, that was just down the street and able to take us on amazing reef dives.

Coconut Row is a beautiful cottage-style hotel right on the beach of the Caribbean Sea.

Everyone, and I mean everyone, on the Coconut Row team are welcoming, hospitable, and tend toward going above and beyond.

The cleaning staff rakes the sand, washes your dishes, and digs up your lost sandals buried in the sand.

The restaurant staff knows your name from the day you arrive and takes care of your every food and beverage desire — at the restaurant, on the beach, or in your room.

The hotel staff checks on you daily to make reservations, plan your trips, and ensure your delight.

I highly recommend Coconut Row, set in the village of Hopkins, as your destination to get to know the beauty and people of Belize.

We arrived to this lovely little oasis around 3:00 to be greeted by name with a Coconut Rum drink, in the Coconut! The staff was amazing, food and drink were great, and the little area of Cox it Row was beautiful. I was initially surprised at how rustic and small the “town” is. But the staff at Coconut Row made us feel so comfortable and welcome, they washed away all my concerns. The little cabin was very clean and comfortable. The decor was lovely. The room came with a small frig, coffee maker and coffee, cup, glasses and a wine opener. The front porch looked over the sea and beach, so it was a lovely place to sit each morning.
The only negative was the sargassum, or seaweed, that fills the shoreline this time of year. That is stinky and gross.
We only swam when we took the kayak out to the deeper, cleaner water.
Overall I highly recommend Coconut Row for your visit to Hopkins.

This place is not a resort..meaning there are not hundreds of rooms or people..very small..a few rooms and very quiet. The beach is always empty and no need to ever “save your spot” to lay out in the sun.
All the food here is fresh and delicious with 5 star presentation. A lot of funky cool small beach bars to try food and drinks at but no young adults there to party, doing shots etc..mostly couples here to relax and soak up the sights and sun.
You are right in the middle of the two street small town of Hopkins where everyone says hello and will be calling you by your name after a few days here.
I stayed 10 days which is a long time for here as most stay for a few days and explore the rest of Belize. You can get tours for fishing, cave exploring etc but no one on the beach pushing things on you at all. Most days I had the beach to myself as I stayed at buttonwood which is two blocks from coconut row..they have rooms at coconut row as well but they were book way out so I suggest to book as early as you can.
I am a 49 year old that lives in Alaska and goes somewhere different every year. I will be coming back. The staff here is some of the nicest people I have been around..genuine..not fake..not just after your money and are happy and proud to tell you about their small place and give honest options and advice.
I don’t want to leave..of course with it being -40 in my home town who came blame me.lol Happy safe travels.

We spent 11 days diving and exploring the local jungle. Coconut Row is a cluster of cabins with a restaurant right on the beach, and near the middle of town, an easy walk to all the local night spots. The dive boat picked us up right on the beach, and there's a grocery/liquor store right across the street. It could not have been more convenient. The resort has thier own van, drivers, and guides, and were attentive to our every whim. We stayed in the two-bedroom "Traveler's Lodge" which is built on top of the laundry building, so it catches the delicious sea breeze. We dove 4 days with Seamore Adventures (also highly recommended; see my review here) and toured Cockscomb Basin and Mayflower Bocawina Reserves. Recommend the (very steep) climb to the Upper Bocawina waterfall for a plunge in the pool. The Xunantunich Myan ruins tour was spendy ($175 x 4) but worthwhile. Skip the tubing through the caves and the Blue Hole (no not the famous dive site); it's lame.

We stayed here for five days and loved it! The staff is so friendly and helpful. It was clean, quiet, and having the small restaurant nearby was great! If we needed anything it was easy to contact someone and they would respond quickly. The beach was cleaned daily of the seaweed and the walk into the water was perfect! They are near many places to eat and walking distance to a grocery store. They will take you on excursions too. We went on the Mayan Chocolate Tour and had a lot of fun making our own chocolate. We will definitely stay here again.

Hi Kristine, we just realized our US number is not working and we will soon change it. The office does have a Belize number, which is +501 615-3003. (Make sure you dial the plus sign first, or you will get area code 501 in Arkansas.) If you don't wish to pay for an overseas call, there is a popular app called WhatsApp. If you download it and add our office number into your contacts, you can call or message us for free via WhatsApp. Very sorry for the inconvenience and please let us know if you have any questions!

Coconut Row is a quiet and low key accommodation. We only saw 2 other couples on the property during our stay in December. But you are just around the corner from the restaurants and night life, which makes this an awesome place to stay!
