Our annual mother-daughter trip took us to Belize, and more specifically, the Bocawina Rainforest Resort & Adventures. It was wonderful to select daily guided adventures that stretched us physically, emotionally and spiritually! We opted for a full week at the resort and didn't regret our decision. The Black Fig restaurant served a variety of amazing dishes and drinks (if desired)....

We were welcomed with our names on a sign and rooms that were very welcoming. The owners and staff were amazingly helpful and nice. We stayed in one of the basic rooms, because really when you are in the rain forest, why be in your room. the property was very well maintained. Then we went on the waterfall rappelling and...

Bocawina Rainforest Resort is primarily a zip line destination. They bill themselves as the largest and best Zip Line Destination in Central America. And, they provide other activities as well, like waterfall rappelling, hiking and bird watching. Since my primary hobby is photography, and especially bird photography, I thought this would be a good spot to stay in our drive...

Maybe we were a little bit spoiled by our stay at Black Rocks Lodge immediately before coming here, but I was somewhat disappointed. The other TripAdvisor reviews left me with high expectations. The lodges really aren't that nice and although this is located in the middle of the rainforest, the lodge property itself is 80-90% de-forested. We had hoped to...

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bocawina. I had researched the place prior to going so I knew about the uncomfortable 4 mile dirt road and the no air conditioning. These weren't surprises and they didn't ruin the trip for me at all. I had originally bulked at the prices of the excursions but after seeing how far you have...

We spent 3 nights at Bocawina last week. The grounds are beautiful and they clearly work to maintain them constantly. However, due to the extreme bugs it can be hard to enjoy them by sitting outside. We stayed in the Mayan House and felt that we had everything we needed. It was clean enough, but do be aware you can...

6 of us stayed at Bocawina for a few nights in 3 different rooms. The grounds are very nice with several buildings spread far apart, which was a bit awkward. At night, it is very dark without any illumination on the buildings so getting back to our rooms after supper was a challenge. Definitely needed a flashlight. There wasn't really...

This was our best stay in Belize. The food is delicious, our room was spacious and the bathroom too. They are so friendly with children, they bought a baby cot just for us! We visited both waterfalls, which are beautiful! And walking on the resort, at night, is breathtaking: I've never seen so many fireflies! The staff is super friendly.

My wife and I just returned from a fabulous trip to Belize with Island Expeditions. It was our first trip to Belize and we wanted to experience both land and water. Upon landing at the international airport in Belize City, we flew 15 minutes south to Dangriga where we were met by an Island Expeditions staff member who drove us...
