Costa Rican countryside. 100% natural. Thousands of organically grown flowers. Abundant bird and wild life. World class ocean and mountain views. Easy access to Playa Manzanillo and the surfing beaches of Mal Paid and Sta Theresa. Off the grid. Secluded. Peaceful. Epic sunsets. Often a very nice, refreshing breeze. Great hiking, biking, visiting with nearby farms, exploring, stream dipping...nearby. Virtually... More

Finca Organica offers the opportunity to unwind and unplug. The view from the platform is like living in a Gauguin painting. Wake up to the sights and sounds of exotic tropical animals. In nearby Manzanilla, walk, run, surf and swim on one of the longest undeveloped beaches we've ever experienced. There are great restaurants and shops Manzanilla, St. Theresa and... More

I really enjoyed waking to te howler monkeys and birds with a distant ocean view. Staying any closer to the ocean meant dealing with dusty traffic and the usual hustlers. This was so peaceful that I stayed a month and had to pry myself away. My favorite restaurant is nearby. Langosta! is a must. I also enjoyed staying somewhere that... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This ocean view eco-retreat is one of a kind. Situated on the mountaintop of a working organic tropical flower farm, this is a nature lovers paradise. There are abundant flowers, birds, wildlife, and sweeping views of the pacific coast of Costa Rica's Nicoya Peninsula. The strikingly beautiful, untouched beach of Playa Hermosa is 2 km. Santa Teresa with it's many restaurants, spas, luxury hotels, yoga centers, and international travel scene is 10 km.The "Rancho" is an open air gazebo style structure, that has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and an open living space with a seating area and kitchen. There is an outdoor shower and wash basin for hand laundry. This place is remote! You will need a 4x4 rental car with good clearance, or a locally available quad (ATV). There are solar panels and a battery bank to power lights, radio, refrigeration, and pressurized water. There are a couple of 110v outlets for laptops, and other small items. Local cell service and a (slow) USB internet card are available for a small fee, and are generally reliable, but not 100% of the time.Visiting the farm here in "La Palmita" you will find absolute tranquility, with sweeping views of the tropical ocean and mountains extending out to the distance. Hummingbirds greet you in the morning, and the sound of waves breaking on the sand put you to sleep at night. There are hundreds of tropical flowers, and abundant birds and wildlife throughout the property.A short walk through the banana grove is a teak wood platform under the shade of a giant bamboo tree. This is an ideal place for yoga, meditation, or to simply relax and watch waves break or see hummingbirds collect nectar. The rancho is stocked with the necessary items to simply show up with your luggage, relax, and watch the sunset. The beach is 2 km away, and is a picture perfect white sand beach, nearly deserted, and stretching to the horizon in both directions. There are tide pools for swimming, waves for surfing, world class beach walks, all within a few kilometers. In nearby Manzaniilo, there are a few local restaurants, and a "mini super" grocery store with just the basics. Many more services, including grocery stores, numerous restaurants, bars, hotels, resorts, and spas can be found 10km away in Santa Teresa and Mal Pais (15 km).The "dry" season is from Dec - May, and you are nearly guaranteed sunny dry conditions in this time. It occasionally rains, but this is quite rare during the dry season. June - Nov is the "green" season, and is the time when there is a mix of on rain and sun on the pacific coast, although many sunny days and fabulous weather do exist.Nearest village: Manzanillo - 2 km , Play Hermosa - 2 km, Santa Tersa - 10kmFrom San Jose - 6 hours From Liberia - 4 hours From Tambor - 1 hour Please contact us for more info. *** We can arrange cleaning service for $25 per cleaning , with advance notice*** Laundry service is available for $15 with advance notice ... more   less
