The rustic cabins are so cool...literally felt like a lost boy in never never land! Love the hammocks and relaxing space at the very top. Rooms were neat as well, clean, and nice to have a fridge. Close to grocery stores, and a couple of restaurants. Would definitely return :)

Quiet and cosy place to stay. The Rustic houses are amazing and as it's says is a place to relax to the max. If you want to have good surfing days, this is a good choice to stay and a good prize! Great places to eat around too.

Stayed here for 2 nights and unfortunately got bed bug bites on my first night!! I was told by fellow travellers and Jon himself that the particular bed I slept in had bed bugs a week before but I was assured that the mattress was destroyed. After waking up covered in bites I told the staff who was completely unapologetic...

Second time at Don Jons and was even better than the first. Jon is a legend, our cabana was great, there's been some cool additions to the place like more hammocks, showers, yoga area and unlike most things in Santa Teresa, the prices haven't gone up. It's also the same price for a beer off Jon as it is in...

Stayed 3 nights here with friends in a rustic room at the back. Rooms were nice and different, sleep 4, private bathroom with cold shower, porch and hammock out front. They are also far from the road and reception so pretty quiet. On the roof there is a great deck with hammocks where they also do yoga classes. Location is...

We were to people who stayed here for 12 nights, and we had a great time. We stayed in one of the rustic cabins, and that felt like the best choice. At first, it felt a little bit more rustique than what we had expected, but after the first night everything felt great. The cabins has coldwater showers, but really,...

We arrived at Don Jon's after a very long and adventurous drive from Tamarindo. We rented 2 rustic cabins for 4 persons each. Rooms were really nice, private bathrooms, clean and nice smelling sheets. Free wi-fi, good food for breakfast (not included in the room's price). The place is very nice, with hammocks everywhere, Don Jon is a really nice...

We just loved it. I recommend the rustic rooms. They have a private bathroom. The whole place is very very nice and special. Prices are very convenient. Location is great. Inside the court we saw iguanas and squirrels. They also have hostel options. Try the Pura Vida Soda , about 20 meters away as you go out to the right....

Don Jon is the man and his place was a lot of fun! I stayed there Dec-Jan 2013 but still wanted to write this. Great location, good food options close by, nice 3-5 minute walk alongside the semi jungle/forest that leads to the surf break and the amazing sunsets, great vibes at the hostel, and just was a really good...
