Beautiful setting overlooking L'Ile Rousse Bay with lovely sunrises over the mountains. Be sure to book a seaview room. While the rooms and service were quite nice, we were surprised to find a 24 € charge per day added for the petit dejeuner. Our first 6 nights in Sardinia and our 2 in Corsica were in hotels with breakfast included so upon checkin here we made an incorrect assumption. To avoid this be sure to clarify on check in.
Welcomed by Jackie we have spent three nights only but it was really a very good choice. Suite 44 well decorated in modern style ,sea view, large bedroom, large seating room this hotel is very well located and I have specifically appreciate the staff from the boss still the maid and bar woman. Good breakfast too. I highly recommend this hotel.
We had the most wonderful time at L'Escale Cote Sud. We stayed 7 nights. The room was clean and fresh, the view of the Ligurian Sea breathtaking. The little balcony was perfect for al fresco breakfasts and dinners of the island's renown charcuterie and cheese. The hotel is perfectly located with access to restaurants and local shopping. What makes L'Escale stand out is its staff. It is a beautifully run boutique hotel. The receptionist/concierge Jacqui, is warm, kind, and incredibly helpful. The owner/manager Antoine takes sincere interest in his guests' happiness and comfort. The staff of the hip restaurant/bar "Rendevous" are welcoming and gracious. And the food and cocktails are great (Ugo the bartender is a brilliant mixologist!) We fell in love with the Balagne, the region of Corsica where Ile Rousse is located. L'Escale is a perfect base camp to access the beaches, rivers, and towns (but you do need a car!) Parking is inexpensive, 2.50 euros/day, and is a short walk from a public lot. The joy we experienced from our remarkable stay in Corsica is directly attributable to the kind staff and beautiful accommodations at Hotel Escale Cote Sud!…
Very modern small hotel in the heart of the old town. Only 1 room left when we booked - small-ish but more than comfortable enough for a two-night stay, with very efficient airco, good wifi and the unexpected bonus of a sea view of sorts. Central location in relation to all town amenities and 3 minutes walk from main beach. Car park at the Mairie 1 minute from hotel and €2.50 for 24 hours. Breakfast a bit pricey at €12.50, but plenty of alternative options nearby.
We LOVED our stay at L'Escale. Amanda made our time there just perfect. She arranged dinner reservations at the hotel restaurant for us, with a postcard-perfect view of the beach in the house, as well as suggestions on the best beaches to hit. My family was one of the few American customers at the hotel, and Amanda transitioned seamlessly with helping us in English to assisting German customers as well as French clients. We can't wait to come back someday! Don't miss the hotel's restaurant for dinner, which had amazing food and service.
