Domaine de la Corniche offers a serene atmosphere blending modern and traditional charm, praised by guests for its splendid views and tranquil spa. However, visitors have experienced mixed feelings about the property's amenities, with some facing difficulties such as maintenance issues and additional access costs. Room opinions vary, with commendations for décor and views but criticisms for outdated features. Service quality is inconsistent; staff kindness is noted by many, yet some guests encounter unprofessionalism. While cleanliness is generally upheld, the value is debated due to varying service costs and amenities.

We booked for a romantic weekend and were very disappointed with the service. Very poor value for money.
It is a 4 star on paper but in reality, the property is not up to standard...
Aging estate, carpeting still dirty, broken cobblestones on the outside.
For the room, we had booked a superior room but it wasn’t really one: dirty bathroom with hair, broken windows, crumbling paper with traces of mold...
Hotel bar very expensive for the quality of the cocktails... 15 € for a mixture of juice... the bartender was however very pleasant!
For the restaurant on the 20th of the estate: service to review, we had to start our plate 3 times for a cooking of the bleeding meat... we then ask you to clear the table when you have not even finished your dessert...
We made a reservation for a service on the domain website and we are then informed that the domain has not worked with the provider for 2 months... we had to fight and come back several times to the reception to be reimbursed.
The only positive point of the weekend was the spa. Well maintained and with everything you need to relax.
In conclusion, for the price that the weekend costs you it is not worth them... pity because there is a beautiful potential!!

Spent one night near Giverny. This is a gorgeous property with a stunning view of the Seine. Very romantic and quiet with pool and spa. Book room 33 at the top of the manor house! Could not recommend more highly.

Liked · The staff across all departments—including the front desk, both restaurants, and the spa—was exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive. The Junior Suite provided a peaceful and tranquil environment, while the room itself was impeccably clean and comfortably appointed.
Disliked · The staff is polite, but not always readily available. If you wish to order a drink at the bar, enjoy afternoon tea at 5 PM, or even have a pastry, you may find yourself unattended, as there is often no one present to serve guests. On multiple occasions, the front desk was also left unstaffed. Regarding the room, the thermostat was not properly adjusted upon arrival, and despite requesting assistance from the front desk, the issue was not resolved. As a result, my first night was uncomfortably cold. It was only the following day that a maintenance technician addressed the problem. It is disappointing that housekeeping or those responsible for room preparation do not ensure the space is properly heated before a guest's arrival. While the room itself was aesthetically pleasing, the duplex layout proved impractical, particularly given the uncomfortable sofa. Overall, the experience fell short of the expectations for a four-star hotel.

It was the second time we stayed at this property, we had a good memory of it.
1st cold shower on arrival... access to the spa is paid from the first hour you must be prepared to pay between 25 and 35 euros to enjoy the facilities at the spa depending on the hours of the day... the first time we had not paid anything and we took exactly the same room suite overlooking the Seine.
The reception at the bar was cold unlike the first time we had been enchanted by the bartender's welcome.
Samples of spa products are as in all hotels now in large self-service bottles which was not the case before...
Finally we woke up with the unpleasant surprise of the water cut off in the room... no word , no call we had to go down to the reception to know what is going on... it is certainly no one's fault but no commercial gesture on the final bill except the possibility to take advantage of the spa facilities for free to take a shower... useless when the only thing you want is to go home to wash quickly so that you can meet your obligations... We are still waiting for the return of the person in charge... In short we will not return again we were extremely disappointed about the services provided for a price I find excessive considering the quality of the service

You have to be very aware of the room you get. We had to pay an extra 50 euros to get a riverside view room instead of the room first offered (very outdated and a parking space view).
The Michelin star restaurant was closed (very strange in touristic high season). We were offered an overpriced buffet (55 euros) which was very bland in a restaurant with a not to friendly staff and a not so nice atmosphere. To visit the spa you have to pay 35 euros extra per person. The rooms are not sound proof. All in all not the best experience unfortunately, also due to the bad weather (with sunshine everything is nicer). Would not recommend to stay here, even though the receptionist is very friendly!

Very warm and pleasant place at first glance but quickly proved unfair regarding people with children.... service taken at the hotel with room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children), which was transformed into accommodation in a locappart type house with unmaintained outdoor swimming pool... outdated accommodation without socket in the bathroom, noisy toilet when filling the tank, cleaning on request and 2 minutes from the hotel restaurant... and this under the pretext an upgrade, which is totally absurd...because no kettle, coffee or tea in the room like in 4-star hotels.
I am very disappointed with the service which was not what I chose and for which I paid. Regarding the massage services, they lasted 15 minutes instead of 30 minutes, we were caught late.
Too bad because the place is magnificent and the hotel has very good potential with breathtaking views of the Seine.

Total disappointment
But what a disappointment for our stay at the cornice area...
We booked because we kept a moving memory of our visit at the end of 2018 and what a disappointment this time... we were accommodated in the Villa (suite Garance), room (unnecessarily) very large it is true but without any charm... shutters that must close by hand (and there are 6) in such bad condition that the handles are unscrewed, others are deflated and therefore not closeable...
When in general it is obsolete (in the wrong direction), everywhere traces of rust, crumbling joints, furniture damaged by wear. But what sadness and 4 stars for that??? 280€ a night for this? Clearly go your way. There is not even a coffee machine in the room or a minibar that can be found in any 2 stars. This is incomprehensible!
The only equipment is a TV. Huge but not even in the same room as the bedroom. So you can’t even lie down to look at her.
There is a false contact on the bedside panels (security?) so they make an impossible noise when they are lit. As for the shower, nothing to put shower gel and shampoo so it is super convenient...
In short this room is a disappointment and overall left us a bitter taste in this weekend which was to be special.
Special mention for the bartender with 2 watches in such a hurry that it is unpleasant...
On the other hand we spent a delicious evening at the Panoramic. Service and sommelier incredibly friendly and with little care. Thank you!
If we do not return for the hotel, we will return for the restaurant!

We came for brunch with my parents. We thought we were offering them luxury, but that's not the case. When we arrived, 6 armchairs for 5 places, no help to arrange the space. We are given the drinks menu but we never come back to take our order. We also lacked cutlery at our table. No one offered us water.
At the buffet, there were always missing plates, and worse, there was no serving cutlery for certain dishes, so that you had to help yourself with your fingers (raw vegetables, cheese, etc.). Small coffee cups were also missing which had to be requested twice. Something was always missing from the buffet (which is also very poorly placed for traffic...).
On leaving, we were inelegantly called back into the corridor by a member of staff thinking that we had not paid for our brunches, even though they had actually been paid for online beforehand to avoid having to do so in front of our parents, that we were inviting for a special occasion. This person did not apologize. I will not recommend this overpriced brunch for minimum service, we are very disappointed.

Very disappointing experience for us on a weekend with our infant, our room looked nothing like the photos on the domain's sites... A room in firecracker purple colors with scary wallpaper for both adults and children and located at the back of the estate (with a view of a henhouse). Also beware of hidden costs such as access to the swimming pool and the SPA billed at 35 euros per room, to our surprise.
The SPA would also benefit from a refresh... (lights broken in the showers, paintings)

Overall disappointing stay. We expected more quality. Room with very poorly maintained carpet and sockets that come off the walls. The bathtub with lots of impacts in the bottom. The toilet that smells like sewers. As for the area, the view is very, very beautiful indeed. The spa is also nice because the number of people is limited. You can easily do sauna, hammam, outdoor jacuzzi without waiting. The place seems clean.
As for dinners, the 20 of the estate offers delicious dishes! The staff is pleasant and helpful! The panoramic dinner left us less in terms of food even if the dishes were very good. Offering us water at the table without telling us the price of the bottle and finding ourselves paying €6 for it when we left also stuck a little in our throats.
We were disappointed that we asked the hotel what it was possible to do because our stay was for our engagement and ultimately received no response from them.
We will have fond memories of the spa and the 20 of the estate, but will be disappointed with the room and the lack of options for our stay. We may come back but without certainty.

Yes. The suite we reserved had a fold out couch. Our boys (12 and 10) slept there comfortably.

Yes I think they have rooms for 2 adults and 2 children. If you have a look at their website You can see what is on offer. The hotel has extensive grounds an outdoor and indoor pool. Free bikes etc. Prices vary a lot from day to day. Last minute deals via their website seem to be the best value. They also have a special family package.

Is Paris a reasonable day trip from the hotel? We would like to visit the louvre for a day.
Answer from Kregg J.
Seattle, Washington128 contributions101 helpful votes
It's a reasonable drive, one hour and a half or so, depending upon rush hour traffic, protest marches, and how many times you stop for snacks and bathroom breaks. We had a comfortable drive and also drove from the hotel to Honfleur and back in one day. Find a good car park in Paris and then use the Metro in the city. It's easy and will save your feet some blisters (keep in mind from Notre Dame to the Eiffel Tower is a good two to three mile walk- 5K is what they say but you'll wander when you see some of the city's other great tourist sites you want to visit). The Metro is easy to use and the people we ran into were very helpful with directions. Have a great trip!
