The last 5 star hotel we stayed in was the Hotel Arts, Barcelona and this hotel is definitely not up to that standard, however, it is a well appointed, well positioned hotel. The hotel is currently full and there were issues when we first checked in requiring us to stay in an adjacent property for a couple of nights. This... More

This is a nice hotel on a quiet location, foods good, friendly staff, you can catch a bus to the local town for 2 euros or to Chania for 3 euros, there are a lot of restaurants nearby too. The beach is a pebble one, but it's right in front of the hotel.

I've just returned from a 2 centre holiday, this was the first hotel. It was not an auspicious start - we'd booked a twin room and were taken to a double which we refused. The reception staff were most unhelpful telling us the hotel was very full, there were no twins available plus a number of other excuses until eventually,... More

We came to this hotel looking for a comfortable hotel by the sea and far from the crowds...we got that and not more! The room was spacious but badly furnished, the bathroom was old fashioned and small and the built in kitchenette came empty with the exception of two glasses! The hygiene could do with some improvement and at breakfast... More

It is, at best, a 4* Hotel a bit old and not very clean. The bar is extremely expensive and a joke... I got a Caipirinha with Fanta lemon. You have lots of mosquitos in the room. Location is okay, but you need a car for everything.

Just because everyone is writing bad stuff I'm gonna start with the positives. Our balcony/garden room was really nice.We got a hamak, nice set of sunbeds, and 2 different types of chairs+tables. Breakfast wasn't the worse I just had better. Nice big pool with warm water and enough sunbeds for everyone. They also had mini market which was very useful if u didn't wanna... More

We had originally booked to stay in the Cretan dream hotel thru low cost holidays and as everybody knows that place went under. 2 weeks before our honeymoon. Panic stations! So my myself and the missus found a lovely looking 5 star hotel called the asterion hotel! This place looks nice and ended up being cheaper than the original place!... More

It is really a 3 star hotel and the rooms are not what it seems on photos, we booked the suite with the private pool, it is really not worth it at all... Actually we where forced to cancel our booking and find another place for stay.

It doesn't match a 5 star hotel. The reception staff, especially Sofia, and the manager are obnoxious and rude, except the night shift guy. There are a lot of eletric malfunctions in the bedrooms and in ours was missing part of the ceiling. We had to stay 8 days with the same beach towels because they don't replace them. The... More

It is advertised as "luxurious" hotel and 5 stars I would rate them as 2. Let me guess you some examples: 1. Cleaning of the rooms consists on a daily arrangement of the bed and that's it ! Towels are changed every three days. Yo are questioned if you want to change the pool towels about the days you have... More
