My husband and I had a great stay at Homeric in August. I would recommend this for couples whom are looking for a romantic getaway. The views from the rooms are stunning, while the breakfast on your balcony is something you will truly never forget....More
A very relaxing 8 day stay in late September/early October. Superb location. Spectacular views over the Caldera. We stayed in 'Gaia' which has a private pool. Well worth it if the weather is good. We suffered a few slightly colder than expected days so didn't...More
Beautiful hotel and view. Excellent food and service. Must return for sure. The pool is amazing. Very relaxing environment. One of the best experiences of our one month trip to Europe. The service is very good and make you feel at home.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, after a Greek friend recommended it. I'm so glad we stayed -- it was a memory of a lifetime. It's a small hotel with private, spacious rooms, each with their own balcony where breakfast is delivered every...More

Homeric Poems is situation on the side of a cliff so I am guessing that they are asking if you want a room where you have to climb less stairs. The rooms at the top are closer to the pedestrian st and the rooms down the bottom are closer to the pool. Personally I don't think it makes much difference because the hotel is small. A great place to eat just near by is called Aktaion. It was delicious authentic Greek food. We ended up going twice.
Also there is a really good gyro restaurant, nothing fancy but excellent food and very good prices. It is called "Why not Souvlaki - Pita - Gyros"
Hope this helps!
