My room had a small balcony—not big enough to sit on, but I put the interior chair next to the window so I could look out onto the view, which is sublime. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room. There’s a little fridge with a few drinks in it (for purchase) but also room to keep a couple of your own water bottles.
The breakfast has everything you could want—eggs, salumi, cheese, grilled veggies, yogurt, cakes, croissants, fruit, even cereal. The staff is friendly and quick with the coffee.
I didn’t use any of the spa services but they’re there if you’re interested. There are plenty of sitting areas and also a bar.
The signage from the parking area at the foot of the stairs is good if you know where to look. They’ll send someone down to help you carry bags and navigate the stairs.
Getting there: The pedestrian tunnel from Amalfi isn’t super easy to find. Walking along the coastal road, when the road veers right to go around the hill, turn left. The tunnel entrance is in that piazza. Once in the tunnel, follow the brightly lit part (there’s another part that goes through a gate; that’s not what you want). It goes uphill a bit. When you get out, you can either go through a traffic tunnel, which comes out onto an elevated street, or take the pedestrian way, which goes right through a restaurant’s outdoor seating to the right of the tunnel. This way starts with steps but takes you to the beach level and the steps to the hotel. Taking the 2d tunnel means you have to take the steps from that elevated street down to the beach level.
They have a free vailet service for the luggage (you need this due the amount of the stairs)
Nice breakfast with buffet on the second floor.
We were really happy to stay in this hotel, we spend a lot of money, but we were disappointed by the inexistent service of the bar on the panoramic terrace on the sixth floor and by the rudeness of the girl at the reception. My wife and I wanted to drink and eat several times but no one in the whole stay in the afternoon/evening was ever there to greet us (at the end we bought pizzas from the nearest restaurant and ate on the terrace). Only the last day we finally saw a little girl of the staff looking annoyed, always on the phone (she never asked us if we need anything) and we preferred to go elsewhere so as not to ruin our last day.
We asked if this was normal to the "receptionist" with the name VANESA. She was not at desk to help but hidden and sitting in her office and without even getting up from the chair, she yelled to us saying that we shouldn't bother her for this and other words in her language. The day before she didn't even give us information of the availability for the massages and spa. She has NO respect and NO desire to work for the guests of the hotel!!!
Thankfully the rest of the staff were always welcoming.

Don’t be fooled when in hotel description it says 72 steps to beach, it’s 72 flight of stairs with luggage.
Instructions of getting to hotel where ok but omitting different ways to get there. For 2 ,50 euros we arrived by bus, hotel was willing to arrange private transportation for 80 euros per 2 people.
When you arrive to meeting place on the beach, someone guides you up the 72 flights of stairs, he doesn’t help carry but then waits for tip when dropping luggage off in room. We did leave by ferry to Napoli, about a 2 hour boat ride which we took from amalfi. The hotel can arrange a golf cart to help with luggage at 60 euros, we did have a decent amount of luggage however we asked a nice taxi driver downstairs and only charged us 25euros to drop us at amalfi. One receptionist nicer than other , massage therapist very nice!
Thank you guys- its been a pleasure- Glenn and Kurt
The marketing materials clearly state all rooms having a balcony or sea view, with some facing the village. They didn’t state facing someone else’s bedroom and waste pipe, ( see picture ). When challenged, I was told to email the manager, ( no-one available), and the room had a window so it wasn’t a problem! I could change rooms for another €400. Avoid at all costs!
"To find it, You need to go down to the beach level and you will come across a restaurant with "Palme" in the name.To the left of there is a small archway with steps to hotel."Read full review
