We were in Milltown Malbay for the Willie Clancy festival and this was a fabulous place to stay!! Our host was extremely kind, friendly and knowledgeable about the town, the music and the festival!! Breakfast was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Our room was rather small, but the host and location made up for it. While we...

Great place to stay when you plan to visit the Aran Islands as we did or the Burren national park. The location is near a small town with some pubs and restaurants. The rooms were big and clean and breakfast was very well done. Only downside is that the location is near a local road where they are allowed to...

I visited this b&b when I was on a roadtrip around Ireland. The host was the loveliest of people you could ever meet. Very helpful, friendly and informative. The breakfast was lovely and kept me going until the afternoon. The room was clean and tidy. Would recommend this b&b to anyone.

The very nicely-furnished place is just outside the town. Mary is the kindest and sweetest hostess anyone could hope to meet. She tried very hard to fatten me up. She advised on what to do locally and the places I should go to eat. It was hard to leave - I wanted to put Mary in my pocket.

Is An Gleann the fanciest B&B ever? Nope. But it is homey and Mary Hughes went out of her way to give our family of six a great experience, not just comfy beds and a hearty breakfast but extra little attention to detail. Coffee a bit too strong for American tastes on morning one? By morning two it was just...

When I get friends over from abroad, the first and only place I book for them is An Gleann. Mary is the kindest of hostesses and I know she will take care of my friends. At occasion I nearly booked the whole B and B for them and they had a great time, and this August again friends were coming...

Other reviews touted Mary Hughes, the innkeeper, for being friendly and helpful. She was amazing. Her suggestion to take a cab for the 1km to town was a gem We were able to partake the pub scene and the trad music without worrying if we'd overdone the Guinness. Besides, all the cab drivers we experienced in Ireland were great raconteurs....

Our family of 4 had a home away from home at An Gleann for 8 nights during the Willie Clancy Traditional Music School/Festival. Mary was a great hostess, very warm and friendly. She was also great with helping us navigate the area. It was our first trip to Ireland. Our kids had a twin room and my husband and I...
