While on a solo burn on my motorbike ended up in beautiful Waterford. As usual went without making arrangements( only way to do it). Road led me to dungarvan but everywhere booked out. Staff in lawlors went above and beyond particularly Michael Burke owner, squeezing me into a grand room. He even found room for my bike to keep it...

Stayed here in August 2015 for Sean Kelly tour of Waterford, Dungarvan is a lovely town but Lawlors Hotel lets it down badly. We had 2 rooms one was clean enough the second one was terrible dirty duvet, water stains on walls from damp, We were then given another room which was not clean when we were shown it but cleaner...

We stayed here in 2 rooms in Aug 2015. One room was very small but the other room had a 4 poster bed. The carpets and wallpaper in the rooms were badly stained but nothing that a clean and lick of paint wouldn't fix , The bar area was nice. The best part about the hotel was the breakfast even...

Positive points-central location, staff friendly, food(when eventually served) good enough. Negative points-hotel generally but especially bedrooms, badly in need of an upgrade-shabby, dated, grubby and worn. Investment in the business required by the owners. How much worse can it get before it is unfit to stay in! Service in the dining room for dinner and breakfast next morning really poor....

Stayed in this hotel for a few days midweek, hotel is nice and clean, staff are friendly. Breakfast had a small choice of cereals etc and then you can ask for hot breakfast to be made. Hotel is located in the middle of the town with shopping centre and cinema behind it. No swimming pool etc.

My wife and I had the very good fortune of being based at Lawlors Hotel during a 5 day coach trip, 3rd to 7th August. Okay, the wallpaper, paintwork and carpets may not compare too favourably with those of the Ritz but the tariff definitely does. We find it baffling trying to understand the negative comments left on TripAdvisor; make...

We stayed at Lawlor's Hotel last weekend (bank holiday), very efficient checking us in (14 people), the rooms were nice and very comfortable. The Hotel is very close to the nightlife and the food was lovely. We found the receptionist Lucy for approachable and the duty manager very accommodating of our requests. I checked with all my guests and not...

This hotel used to be such a gem and I appreciate it may have come through a rough time economically, but there's no excuse for shabby service. I attended a private function last Saturday night in a room which I suspect was once part of a night club of some sorts. The decor and room in general wasn't bad, quiet...
