Detailed Reviews
We recently had a 2 night break and stayed in the cottage. It was lovely spotlessly clean and everything that we could possibly need. Joanne our hostess was warm and welcoming. You could instantly tell how much effort had been put into making us welcome and comfortable. Will definitely return.

Our stay can be summed up in one word or perhaps 4 - Wow Wow and Wow. Paula and Steve were perfect hosts and very friendly and welcoming we felt like we had known them for years. It's a beautiful place to stay and we have already booked to go again. Fabulous! Thank you.

We arrived slightly early for our booking but was still fine to book in.
We stayed in the Swan Room which has a separate bathroom with a free standing bath and separate large shower.
The room has a lovely four poster bed and the bottle of Prosecco was a nice welcoming touch.
We personally found the room a little bit too bright in the morning as the curtains let in a little bit too much light (but that is just our personal preference).
Breakfast was lovely with a nice selection of cereals and what seemed to be never ending toast. We had the full english breakfast which has locally produced bacon and sausages. They do other options if you preferred.
We sat in the garden after breakfast with our coffee and was joined by the hosts who were very friendly and we even spent a bit of time with Darcey the Retriever who is lovely.
Allin all we found The Ellesmere a lovely quiet B&B with lovely high end features.

This a fabulous place to stay. The house has been very tastefully renovated with very close attention to detail. Luxurious bedroom and wonderful bathroom and the whole place was spotless. Paula and Steve are very welcoming and do all they can to make you feel at home. The bottle of prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch. They also have a beautiful garden. There is onsite parking and is close to all the amenities of Hornsea. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. We loved it.

What a great find, came to Hornsea to meet friends for a night out and were impressed from the moment we checked in, we were made to feel so welcome, the (swan) room was gorgeous with a four poster and massive bathroom with a free standing bath. It's obvious that no expense was spared with the decor and it was all do tasteful. My veggie breakfast was no problem for them, and that and the full English were both well cooked. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

As we have family in Hornsea, this B & B is perfect for us.
Upon arrival we were greeted by The owner, Paula, who was delightful and very friendly. She showed us to our room which was immaculate. We had a beautiful king size bed which was so comfortable, the bedding was sumptuous and we both had a great nights sleep. We had a free standing bath at the foot of the bed, a glass of wine whilst watching tv in the bath was obligatory! How lovely they leave a bottle of prosecco too! The huge shower was lovely too, beautiful thick towels and lovely toiletries.
This place has the most beautiful furniture and lots to look at around the breakfast room. Breakfast was high class, juices, grease fruit, cereals and a locally sourced full English ! Breakfast was served by Steve, a really nice friendly guy. This couple couldn't do enough for you, and The Ellesmere is absolutely 1st class in every respect. The cleanliness is superb.
So Paula and Steve we will be back, hopefully for a cheeky g & t in the bar once up and running !
Just what Hornsea needed! 5*
Thank you so much,
Andy & Carol Coldwell.

I live a few miles from this b/b and my daughter was getting married locally so I block booked this b/b for the wedding weekend for friends and family to stay. The feedback I have had is it was excellent. Stunning rooms, spotlessly clean, lovely hosts and a great breakfast. In fact one couple enjoyed it that much they returned 2 weeks later for a long weekend, need I say more?

Stayed for 1 night after cycling the Trans Pennine Trail.
Hosts were very welcoming and there was good storage for our bikes.
House and garden were beautiful, and everything was very clean.
Our room (with a freestanding bath in it) was beautifully-decorated and very well-equipped.
Very short walk to a restaurant in town for dinner.
Breakfast at the B&B was lovely.
Overall, a lovely quiet and luxurious B&B.
