We were in Hornsea for a night to visit a friend and found a real lack of accommodation when trying to find somewhere to stay. However, we were very happy with our stay at Northope. Friendly and welcoming owners and a very clean and comfortable room, with nice touches such as biscuits and fresh milk in the room. The shower was lovely and hot , with complimentary shower gel which smelled gorgeous. The lady owner was happy to do us an early breakfast as we needed to leave quite sharpish in the morning. We enjoyed the breakfast, it was well cooked and just the right amount. It took us about 15 minutes to walk down to Hornsea town centre. If we come back to visit out friend, we will stay here again!

The guesthouse was part of a complex with an adjacent campsite.
The entrance/reception was delightful, tastefully decorated and no clutter.
The room was spacious and well provided for. There was a decent sized mini fridge with complimentary bottles of water, plus tea, coffee and milk
The decor is on trend in colours of grey and white and fittings are contemporary and modern.
The Host, Joanne, told me that she and Martin had only been there for two and a half years so it's clear that they have worked very hard to make sure that impressions are good. The breakfast was magnificent.
My request for ice was not a problem.
There was easy parking on site.

Let's start with the positives. The owners are very friendly and seem a lovely couple. The field itself is ok, fairly level.
However for a site which can have 30 units (60 people) on it at the weekend, the facilities are just not enough. They have 1 ladies toilet (1WC) 1 gents toilet with urinals and 2 WC's, plus 2 Showers , (both have a WC).
Whilst their website says they are in the process of updating their facilities that is no excuse for dirty toilets, full waste bins, open sanitary bins and overflowing refuse bins.
We stayed 14 nights. After 3 days we asked for the facilities to be cleaned, which they were. For the rest of our stay they were not cleaned.
We cleaned them ourselves as we used them.
As campers one of the main things we all look for are clean well maintained facilities, sadly this was not the case.
It's a shame, because this could be a really great site

Wonderful B&B only a few minutes drive or 15 minute walk into Hornsea which was ideal for our needs. It was immaculately clean and well maintained and the substantial breakfast that Jo provided for us saw us through to our evening meal.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay and only wish it could have been longer. We will of course have no hesitation in booking again for our next weekend in Hornsea.
Thank you Jo and we look forward to staying at Northorpe again.

Was greeted with a warm welcome & shown to our room.
Room was spacious & had big shower with plenty of hot water.
Clean with nice fresh towels.
Large TV with Netflix, Fridge, hairdryer in a modern decor.
Plenty of plug sockets ( and in the places that you need them to be) + 2 USB sockets
Added bonus was breakfast served with a time slot in a communal setting overlooking a large garden with chickens.
Breakfast was served to order and was delicious.
Would we stay again? A big YES🙂

It wasn't our cup of tea since we've never been into camping and this B&B is only a bit better than a camper van. The owner is a great person. Really nice woman who understood why it wasn't for us. Nevertheless, if you like camping, it could be a place for you.

Absolutely Excellent, from speaking to the owner bevfore booking , advised us to book with her direct, saving money on listed site price.Still didn’t have to pay any deposit ,in fact didn’t pay until 1 st morning.
Place is easy to find off main road into Hornsea (approx5mins) , plenty of free on site parking ,own key into room and premises.Room was Dog Friendly, had lovely bathroom shower toilet and wash bowl ,like rest of room lovely light and airy. Room had drinks facilities ,Tv,small fridge everything you need. Breakfast was included from Full English( with Proper Bacon,Sausage & Egg. to cereals and choices in between tea or coffee with refills.
Stayed 3 nights over Bank Holiday and was a great base for North Yorks coast, Highly Highly Recommended and would definitely go back if in that area and could get in,a must visit

The welcome was lovely, the room was spotless with little extras e.g. jar of cookies, fresh milk in the small fridge and toiletries in the en suite. The bed was comfortable and we both had a really good nights sleep.
We had a choice of two breakfast times and a wide selection to choose from for breakfast. Breakfast was enhanced for us as we were sat by the patio doors and were entertained by the hens, guinea fowl, ducks and finally the peacock who were wandering around the walled garden.
We would wholeheartedly recommend the B & B and are looking forward to a return visit

A really lovely B and B. Stylish with lovely touches that make a place feel like home. Joanne and her husband went out of their way to be helpful and we had a cracking time cycling around the coast. Thank you!
