Detailed Reviews
We stayed two nights at this very nice accommodation hidden up a small courtyard right in the centre of Hornsea. It is part of the owners' house but with its own seperate entrance and small garden area. A great location as everything in the small pleasant seaside town is within walking distance, including the super Mille Sapori Italian restaurant just across the road. Breakfast brought in on a tray for us each morning and slept well in a very comfy bed with soft duvet and pillows. Very quiet at night - the only noise being the gentle chime of the clock in the church next door. Some cheeky squirrels from the park behind the house

We stayed overnight at Darceys for a group birthday rendezvous, it was booked for us by a friend so we didn't really know what to expect but we can honestly say that we weren't disappointed.
Small but perfectly formed is probably a good way to describe this accommodation, very well designed, tastefully furnished and decorated.
Very clean throughout.
The bed was nice and big and very comfortable with quality bedding, the bathroom is a wet room type which was well maintained and very clean with good quality towels.
The hosts were very welcoming and friendly with plenty of advice to hand if needed.
We aren't usually big fans of a continental breakfast but we couldn't help but like the one provided here. So much choice and quantity and all of good quality.
There's a quaint outside seating area where we had breakfast in a small cottage garden in the lovely morning sunshine.
We had a lovely stay here and the only downside was that we didn't book it for longer but no doubt we will be back.
A great place to stay - can thoroughly recommend.

This is a fabulous b&b , hidden away off the main street.
It's about a 15 minute walk down to the seafront but there is plenty of parking by the leisure centre if you want to go down by car.
The hosts - Paula & Steve - were excellent and very kind & welcoming
The room was spotlessly clean. The ensuite is qwerky and has non slip flooring and a good shower with lots of hot water.
Towels & toiletries are provided
If you have any dietary requirements please tell Paula before your stay and she'll cater for them.
I would definitely stay here in the future.

This is my third stay at Darceys & was absolutely perfect. I felt very welcome with a personalised message & safe and comfortable throughout my stay. You are just round the corner from the Main Street with a 10 minute walk to the beach. The outside space is a bonus as I swim at the beach so had somewhere to put sandy shoes! The bed linen and towels are gorgeous with a large very comfortable bed. Paula asked me what I wanted for breakfast and I had beautiful berries, yoghurt, cereal and a boiled egg - with a big pot of tea - perfection - thank you Paula & Steve ❤️

I have to say that Darceys in the Yard exceeded my expectations in all respects. The room was large and inviting, the bed extremely comfortable, the sweet treats left for us each evening a nice little bonus, and the wonderfully generous breakfasts provided were a great way to start the day. Set back from the main road in a small court, with a churchyard and park to the back and side, the room was extremely quiet and peaceful and yet only steps from dining options in the center of Hornsea.
Paula went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. (At times I felt she may have been disappointed that we didn't make more demands of her or take her up on her generous offers - but we had all that was needed for our stay - and more.)
I highly recommend Darceys in the Yard based on our experience. It is a real gem -even with the quirky bathroom arrangement :).

What a lovely place to stay. All on ground floor level so excellent for disabled guests, apart from a step into property. Lovely location, right in the town ,a peaceful place to sit outside in a lovely peaceful and private setting.
The room itself was spotless and very quirky.
Paula the host is amazing, she couldn’t do enough for us.
Paula really does aim to please especially with the wonderful breakfast. My partner is gluten free/ veggie and we were amazed at the food she presented her with.
Would highly recommend this place,we were made to feel very welcome.
