First impressions when we walked in were “wow this is bigger than it looks from the outside” We asked a member of staff if we needed to wait to be seated (we later found out it says help yourselves to a table on the board outside). The staff member couldn’t have been more helpful, asked us to sit where we wanted and pointed an area big enough for our family (5) to sit at one table. We ordered drinks and food at the bar, the lady at the bar was a delight to chat to, food arrived promptly, staff couldn’t have been any more helpful, Food was delicious and very, very reasonably priced. It has parking all day for £8. Later found out it is also a B and B!! Already making plans to book a room or 2 for the summer as the beach is literally outside the door. Highly recommended, especially for fellow fossil hunters and families for a break with the kids. Keep up the good work Team Marine!!….. also a lovely outdoor area to sit and eat but sadly all the tables were taken .

Having called in for a quick drink the previous day, we were made so welcome that after a day out in Pickering & Scarborough we decided to divert back to The Marine for a dog friendly bite to eat.
Nothing was too much trouble for Neil & the two young ladies with him behind the bar. My husband was able to order a seniors portion so that he did not waste food & we even got fresh water for our 'granddog'!
The team are a fabulous advert for Greene King, where you can get great value for money, good quality food & very hospitable service.
Thank you

Visited family in Hornsea and had a walk along the seafront came across this gem of a pub. The staff were so friendly and informed my party that they could be a wait on food. However the food showed up 20 minutes later piping hot and delicious. Jack B and Sarah were so helpful. Jack got my grandson some colouring activities. Such a cozy place visit and the views are absolutely amazing 🤩

We had family staying locally for a weeks holiday and so decided to introduce them to our local. We usually only ever call for drinks, however decided we would try the new menu. I must say we were quite blown away with the extensive choice, it seemed it catered for everyone and definitely value for money! Between us we chose scampi, fish and chips and mixed grill. All hot plates were out within no time and pleasantly presented. There was definitely more than enough per serving!
Father in law was most satisfied with the scampi, my husband said his steak on the mixed grill was cooked to perfection and the rest of the meats extremely tasty and our fish had chips were both tasty and filling! All 4 meals did not disappoint.
Would like to say a big thank you to Neil who attended to us in a very polite welcoming manner, and other staff that helped make our family meal a success. Definitely a fab four thumbs up from us 👍

We have visited here 3 times in the last 6 days . The management and staff should be very proud of themselves. The Covid secure system is excellent. The staff are very patient when explaining how to check in , all staff in masks but all so happy and friendly. We ate lunch twice. Nice vegan options .
We felt very safe there , we did eat outside on all occasions. In the current climate they are doing a great job .

Ordered 4 fish Dujons in wraps at 1.30pm just after 2.10pm they arrived after requesting 3 times how long our food would be. Two wraps per plate along with a bit of scrappy lettuce, half of tomato & a bit of onion. I think they were fish fingers. Not recommended for food.

Myself & my husband visited hornsea for the Easter bank holiday & came for lunch. The manager & her team could not have been more helpful & despite it being very busy everyone was dealt with quickly & the food came out hot & it was very tasty with great options for everyone. We returned for breakfast, lunch & tea every day of our holiday. The Marine has definitely changed & for the better it is very dog friendly with dogs now allowed in all areas except the small carpeted area. The manager & her team are excellent & work very hard, hospitality is not the easiest of professions trying to please everyone’s expectations but they do a great job. We will definitely return again & again well done everyone 👏👏
