We were wondering around Broadstairs and happened across Royal Albion, on one of the outside corner is a plaque stating Charles Dickens lived here, so we decided to pop in and have a look around. There is a nice place to grab some tea, pastries, Ballard's Coffee Lounge. The service was good, so was tea, cakes, we enjoyed.

We had a night away at the Royal Albion Hotel as a special birthday celebration. I booked a Superior Sea View room and so glad I did. Huge windows overlooking the sea - really special and worth paying the extra if you can. We stayed in Room 19 which has its own private balcony - quite large with a table...

Lovely hotel ,clean , comfortable room ,friendly helpful staff . Food was excellent and very reasonably priced . The only downside was the external noise at night ...but obviously this is outside the control of the hotel !

Absolutely wonderful. Lovely hotel, lovely setting, good food and friendly staff. The hotel provides modern stylish rooms, good wi-fi and free parking just down the road. Do yourselves a favour and just go. PS. The outside furniture for the sea view rooms on the first floor could do with renovating or replacing.

Travelling on business I stay in this area of Kent on a regular basis, usually focus upon Canterbury but on this occasion the inns there were full or overpriced... having friends in this area I gravitated towards Broadstairs and found the Albion. Seafront location, great rooms, shepherd neame ales and good food! Will return.

We took our grandchildren for half term lunch, the restaurant we would have preferred being closed My grandson wanted a sausage sandwich. Nothing more. We were able to order sausage and chips, and a plate of bread and butter but not have this simple request put together by the kitchen Burgers average, my spicy vegetable one rather odd in texture,...

The only place worth considering in Broadstairs. Great public bar and beach terrace. Communal rooms recently refurbished. Sad to say this was not as good as previous visits to this hotel. I would go back though - location is great. Lessons learnt - we need to book a superior sea view room and check the size. Our room was so...
