We've stayed at many bed-and-breakfasts up and down the coast from Oregon through BC. This was the most friendly one we have encountered. The inn is on an island that is a 5minute boat ride from the mainland. Call the inn and the owner will come over to pick you up. The room was nice, great views of the ocean and Lund harbor. the bed was a little on the firm side if you're not good with that. The pillows were quite firm - but there were fluffy ones in the closet (my wife didn't tell me that until we were leaving and I mentioned the pillow quality). Bathroom was clean. The owners give you the run of the house - the living room, dining room, exercise room and chart room (binoculars, local maps, ocean view). there is a fridge for you to keep food in if you bring you own (we always bring cheeses, snacks, soda and wine with us). Breakfast is good and plentiful. The menu rotates so you won't get bored. They offer lunch and dinner if you give them advance notice. We spent a lot of time sitting on the back patio with the owners and their family chatting and having a good time. Most inn-keeps point you to your room and you don't see them again until they bring your breakfast in. Gord and Maryanne were very friendly and accommodating, making suggestions for things to do around the area and were a real pleasure to meet.

Our first time to the area, this was a great place to stay. My wife and I went to enjoy kayaking the surrounding area and get a little R&R. Gord and Maryanne were great hosts, very friendly and accommodating, and what a beautiful setting. Oh and great food too! Thanks so much and we highly recommend a stay here.

We spent five nights at the Lund Seaside Inn. It was a fabulous stay! The resort is located on little Sevilla Island together with some other houses. We had one of the two rooms located downstairs. The room is very cosy and the ocean view is really amazing! At the Seaside Inn, we felt at home very quickly. This was mainly because of Gord, Maryanne and their lovely dog Jack (outdoor only). They took us on great trips (Desolation Sound boat tour, Savary Island, hiking trip through old rain forest, snorkelling). And after the trips, we relaxed in the hot tub and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. But Maryanne and Gord are not only very talented tour guides, they are also excellent cooks! Breakfast and dinner were really delicious. We can only highly recommend the Lund Seaside Inn to everyone staying in Lund, because it is simply a great place. In addition to that, Lund itself is such a beautiful spot, a jewel far away from mass tourism. Thank you, Maryanne, Gord and Jack, the stay at your resort was one of the highlights of our honeymoon in Canada.

I am not a "bed and breakfast" person. I never feel comfortable in a stranger's home. There is now one exception to that rule: the Lund Seaside Inn. The hosts, Gord and Maryanne, were incredibly friendly and helpful. Within a few minutes of arriving I felt completely at home. They were gregarious, funny, and so accommodating. Gord took us to a private beach on one day, and another day he took us on a long and fabulous boat tour of Desolation Sound. There's a sign when you enter the house that says something like, "Enter as guests, leave as friends." That's exactly what happened. Did I mention Jack, the world's smartest dog? And Maryanne makes the Best Scones Ever. Yep, we'll go back.

My partner and I spent 2 wonderful days relaxing and sight seeing on the Island in Gord and Maryanne's warm and welcoming B&B. The Inn was spotlessly clean and our rooms had their own private deck with views out over the bay. We went snorkeling and took a boat tour around the neighboring islands with Gord one day and chilled out on the deck, had a beer, read our books and sat in the hot tub on the other. Our hosts seemed to have an innate sense of what we needed even before we did and it was a pleasure to spend two days with them. Added bonus, they have the best dog. 5/5 will definitely be back!

We recently spent 2 nights with Gord and Maryanne at their beautiful lodge on Sevilla Island. As was the case before, the food and hospitality were second to none. Gord and Maryanne took us out for a boat tour to see a close up view of a herd (pod?) of monster sized sea lions lounging on a big rock. Even though the weather was drizzly that day the warm welcome and friendly ambiance we enjoyed made it another wonderful stay.

We stayed three days at the Seaside Inn. Gord took us on a whole day tour of the Copeland Islands and Desolation Sound - it was both spectacular and very relaxing. Food at the Inn is delicious, although dinners are a bit pricey. Rooms are comfy and the hosts are full of great stories - a great experience!

Thankyou for the nice review of our Inn. We really enjoyed your visit, it was so nice up in Desolation Sound, much nicer when the sun came out. It was great to see the humpback whales the day you left, we saw 5 orca that evening over at major rock hunting the sea lions. We hope the rest of your trip was great, take care.

My husband and I stayed at this delightful inn for 4 nights. We were looking for a place to relax and also to explore the Sunshine Coast and Desolation Sound areas north of Vancouver in beautiful British Columbia. The room was compact but very comfortable and had windows on two sides, all with great views of the inlet across from Lund. The room porch and other parts of the inn were made available to us 24 hours a day and provided AMAZING views of the area, water on 3 sides and many opportunities to see wildlife. On the first night we saw a harbor seal, a great blue heron, and we were also lucky enough to spot a few Orca (killer whales) surface a few times! All from the deck off our room! A few days later, we watched a pair of bald eagles in the trees and also fishing. We saw the harbor seal and heron each of the days we were there. We enjoyed 4 breakfasts and two dinners at the inn. Gord phoned us to make sure they knew what foods we liked or needed to avoid in order to plan the meals. This was an uncommon and welcome touch. Fresh ingredients, interesting recipes, and an attention to detail were appreciated in all the meals. They also made reservations for us to visit a local fantastic restaurant, The Laughing Oyster, which included a ride in a vintage taxi cab. Gord’s and Maryanne’s enthusiasm for the area is contagious. They offered a boat tour and a hike (we did both and enjoyed them both), and know all the local people to contact for other types of tours. On our trip back home, I noticed the trees around Lund and how there are multiple varieties of trees in the forest. This was thanks to Maryanne’s excellent hike the day before and increased our appreciation for the beauty of the area. The Lund Seaside Inn is a comfortable and welcoming place. Gord and Maryanne are as nice folks as you are likely to meet anywhere. The Inn has a sign that says, “Arrive as Guests, Leave as Friends” and that was certainly true for us.

MaryAnne and I would like to thank you very much for the more than kind review of the Lund Seaside Inn. We really enjoyed your stay and it was sad to see you go. We very much enjoyed the great conversations about all that is going on in our great world. I am so happy that you got to see the bald eagles, it was looking like they were inland but they came back just for the two of you. We hope your trip home went well and that you continue to enjoy your travels. We hope to see you again.

My family of four visited The Lund Seaside Inn this summer and had the most memorable vacation. Gord and Maryanne were delightful hosts who made us feel so at home in their beautiful property. Between Maryanne's delicious meals and warm hospitality and Gord's custom boat tours to Savary Island and Desolation Sound, we all agreed that we would return again next year! We simply cannot say enough about the wonderful experience we had. Gord and Maryanne are consummate hosts - tending to us as if we were family.

Thank you very much for your kind words. It was great to watch your family have so much fun, you are true water folks. It felt like everywhere we stopped you were all jumping in the water for a swim. Seeing the Orca was a treat for us all, it never gets old watching them. Keep up the great family spirit that you have going. We also hope to see you next year. Take care and enjoy the rest of summer.
