Had a great time, didn't find any interesting hotels in Powell River, very happy with our stay at the Historic Lund Hotel. Great staff, nice room with a view (apparently John Wayne stayed there), clean. Only thing is the late music playing outside at the hotel bar.

Older hotel with great staff and good food. Direct on the Ocean, you could jumped from your bed into the water. Super. My wife enjoyed it and we will come back. We liked the outside seating opportunity. Canada's best secret for a wonderful sunset, the best I have ever seen in Canada.

We were fortunate to stumble upon the Historic Lund Hotel on our recent trip to the Sunshine Coast. We originally intended to stay the duration in Powell River, but instead went through to check out The Laughing Oyster restaurant and drove right there instead. Highlight of our week long trip. The suite was beautiful and recently upgraded, the ocean harbor...

My room was above the food market, so some talking from outside. Within sight of my car in the parking lot, I was more than happy with the room I had.The hotel was situated on the waters edge and a short walking distance from - Food market and gift shop below, boat/water taxi a few yards away, coffee shop\bakery and...

Our room had a great view of the harbour and a comfy king size bed. It had a large balcony and we enjoyed sitting out there with friends having a glass of wine. The General Store downstairs has all kinds of supplies and a decent selection of wine/beer. Our friends stayed on their boat and got little sleep because of...

My husband and I chose this hotel for a quick relaxing getaway. From the listing and website, it seemed this sleepy fishing village would be the perfect place to unwind. We couldn't have been more wrong. We arrived around 7pm to find the lobby locked and dark. We thought we would grab a quiet dinner in the hotel restaurant, and...

The staff, once I found somebody to check me in, were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and beds were ok. Nice bar with big deck. Great place to socialize with the locals. It was a pleasant experience overall.

The Historic Lund Hotel provided quiet, comfortable and pet friendly accommodation by the sea in the small, scenic port of Lund, jumping off point for exploring Desolation Sound and Savary Island. It's right on the water close to the water taxi, store and Nancy's Bakery. The rooms are large enough, clean, updated and well appointed and the service is casual...

We stayed here while awaiting ferry to savary island. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was friendly. All in all this was a pretty basic hotel. We figured with the historic side there would be more character. Would stay again if we had to.

Forty years ago, I stayed overnight here. It's quite a different place now. The halls are carpeted, the walls are freshly painted by local artists, the rooms are newly upgraded and from most rooms, the view of the bay or Jervis Straight is stunning. The kingsize bed is better than most hotel beds and the bedding is fresh. It was...
