The resort is overpriced for the facilities provided. We stayed in the upper campground on Mother's Day weekend and were not told on check in that the Women's washrooms were out of commission due to renovations, although our site had full hook up we were in a tent trailer with no bathroom facilities so this was a major inconvenience. When...

Many others have stated that for the amount you pay, you should probably get more...and I agree. There are Provincial campgrounds in the area that charge less and have FREE showers. Paying for this after forking out over $40 per night seems a bit ridiculous. The campsite is nice, but the layout is to maximize occupancy. When the place is...

The Gallagher Lake resort is in a nice setting with well kept sites, full hookups and a few extra amenities such as a playground and showers (which are extra $). The sites are very close together so you feel very jammed in. The lake itself is small but exceptional... clear water and a great temperature (in August at least). The...

We have been camping yearly at Gallagher Lake since 2010 but this may be our last year. It is too expensive to camp. $52 a night for a site is comparable to most campgrounds in the area, but to charge $4 per night per child is ridiculous. Camping is a family activity and this place is advertised as a family...

My friend and I recently stayed at this "resort"! I would not call it a resort. The campground is clean and the lake is very nice however the management are very strict and rigid. We were playing music and they told us it had to be in the tent we couldn't play it outside of the tent! We complied with...

My My! I have always been told that there are two stories to an event. Well these two ladies were first brought to the resorts attention when they were smoking on the beach in a common area. When confronted by another Guest, one of them was quite profane with her language, again in a public area. A maintenance Team member...

We rented a cabin for two nights at Gallagher Lake Resort. They have a beautiful view of the lake with great access to the beach and amenities. The management of the resort were welcoming and ensure the resort is well maintained. Would definitely recommend this location, especially the cabins.

The resort is small, clean and has the wonderful lake with the awesome bluff coming right down to it. We are return guests and camped last year; this year we were to stay in a pet-friendly air-con cabin. Last year When I walked my dog around the site before bed you couldn't help notice that you can see straight through...

This was my first time camping in over 30 years and thankfully we picked this campsite. The tenting area was really well situated close proximity to the washroom/shower area and dish washing station which also had electrical outlets. Although there were not fire pits there were rentable propane firepits at a very reasonable rate! Loved it so much we bought...

Our family returns hear at least once per year for a wonderful time to rest and rejuvenate our batteries. The sites are well maintained. I love the fact that you can snip some fresh herbs grown in barrels for making salads and other meals. The lake is lovely. Just wish it were a little bigger but that won't happen, will...
