We came here for lunch with a large Flemish group, coming from Palenque, going to Chetumal. If you do not need to lunch here, make than another choice. The spaghetti was cold and not very tasty. The steak was tough and to long cooked. The flan (dessert) was in a plastic tray. Disappointing.

We paid £21 for a room here for the night. Pros: very clean room, decent bathroom, clean towels, nice staff, ok bed, great WiFi Cons: very loud AC unit, light on outside all night and lots of noise from passing veichle and the resident cockerill Considering bringing ear plugs and an eye mask if you want a decent nights sleep

We stayed for 2 nights in July 2016 a double room with private bathroom and AC. The hotel is on the highway just after the town. There is not much in the town and I guess the only reason to visit is as a base for exploring ruins. The hotel was quite quiet despite the road. The room had all...

This place was pricey, did not include anything and during the night we had company (a mouse running around). Small cabins with two beds, table and chairs. Fan, no AC, fuul of mosquitoes. Horrible accomodation.

We booked the room through Internet and paid in advance for a double room however the staff was very surprised to see us and it took around 30 mins until they found our booking. For $55 (their best offer) we got a small room with 2 big beds and the only good thing there was conditioner. They have it. We...

It was not so expensive, honestly, we were just looking for a bed and a closed room. It's not the most romantic place in the world but I really enjoyed it. It's real Mexico, and when you're expoloring this area, you can't be looking for luxury. I didn't notice anything especially bothering. There's a good restaurant inside. Hosts gave us...

We stayed two nights so we could visit Calakmul. The cabins aren't bug proof so I can imagine mosquitoes being an issue in rainy season but we weren't troubled by any in Dec. The rooms are basic and could do with new sheets but the bathroom was spotless and the shower was warm. A visit to Calakmul is really the...

This is unfortunately by far the worst accomodation I´ve been to in the past few years (and I travel a lot!). We were looking for a relatively cheap place to stay close to the Nationalpark of Calakmul and the Chicanna Ecovillage Resort was to expensive for our budget, so we looked for sth in Xpujil. The distance itself is ok,...

We stayed overnight at the Mirador Maya hotel in Xpujil when visiting Calakmul. The hotel was very easy to find - right on the highway. We spent a comfortable and restful night in one of the log cabins. The owner was very, very informative about our plans for visiting the ruins the next day - keep in mind she only...

We were looking for place to stay for the night before making an early start to Calakmul and didn't want to pay a lot for an "eco village" without AC, so we chose this place, about 30 miles to the turnoff for the park. We stayed in one of the air conditioned rooms which not only kept us cool but...
