Stayed one night after Galapagos cruise. Should have stayed at least 2 nights. One night is too short to explore this elegant, relaxing hacienda. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and gorgeous land, this hacienda is really a hidden gem. Property: History with warm and elegant setting everywhere you face. Roses all over. Simply gorgeous. Room: Standard room but spacious. Flowers and wood...

My daughters and I loved our visit to Hacienda Zuleta! We instantly felt like part of the family and would like to recognize their hospitality. The staff was friendly and serviceable, going above and beyond the call of duty to cater to our requests. There are a myriad of activities for all ages. From multiple horseback riding excursions, to fishing,...

The best food in South America served by warm dedicated staff rounds off a day of lounging or adventure. Horse riding, hiking, cooking and gardening are the main activities but with a local town and bigger cities nearby there is something for everyone. the real highlight was seeing the condors in the wild and the bears ( and the baby...

A few things stand out - huge bouquets of perfect roses throughout the home, a wood stove in the bedroom for heat, hot water bottles placed in your bed as part of the evening turn-down service, and wonderful locally grown food served family style. We really appreciated being able to serve ourselves just what we wanted. We found everyone who...

A wonderful stay in beautiful surroundings. Horseriding and trekking beside streams, lush fields and mountains. The trip to see the Condors was fascinating especially when Juan the guide and Condor expert explained their fragile existence of survival to us. The hacienda is well known for their good food and warm welcome, especially wonderful burning fires in all the rooms and...

I stayed at Zuleta for 5 nights in February 2015. Originally, I booked my stay thinking I'd just ride every day. While I did ride three times on their fantastic Andalusian horses ("Rabida" is the BEST), I also really enjoyed hiking in the surrounding area. The scenery is stunning, and there are many opportunities to gain elevation and capture incredible...

A wonderful introduction to Ecuador. In a spectacular setting of lush green fields and mountains we enjoyed all our activities from learning about the condors to descending a volcano on mountain bikes. We had fun in the kitchen making empanadas and a very interesting visit to Zuleta's cheese factory. We loved the cheese and wine by the fire before dinner...

Gracias for your review! We are very happy you had a good time at Zuleta, I love that you tried our cooking classes ... empanadas are one of my favorite Ecuadorian delicacies.
