Tucked away in the centre of the Richmond Hotel is apartment 200. You pass the old world entrance and reception area of the hotel and enter an exclusive courtyard, on the other side of which is the doorway to apartment 200. It is hard to anticipate what might be inside but opening on to the large ground floor living/kitchen/dining area...

As a self funded tertiary student I wanted somewhere to bunk down that was safe, clean and close to Uni. Richmond Hill is in a fantastic location, close to one of the most vibrant eatery districts in the inner East. I found restaurants of every persuasion and the variety was amazing! Proximity to East Richmond Station was a huge bonus....

The room was a bit disappointing and nothing like the photos we saw on the website. It was I think room #17, down a long corridor and almost at the end of the universe, no views, no space, a bit smelly, with a bunker bed. We noticed there were much better rooms around, so when you book make sure you...

No aircon, no fridge, sheets and pillows dirty. Toilet doors didn't have proper locks, walked in on a middle aged man taking a crap. Key locked room, no safe, didn't even stay the night. After checking in, having a nap, I booked new accommodation and checked out. Can recommend the Oaks on Collins street, I got an enormous room with...

I stayed here in the lowest price room during the Melbourne Grand Prix. The hotel itself is very well situated for public transport in to town and is an attractive building with attentive but not intrusive staff. Sound proofing is great..quiet all the nights we stayed there even thought the hotel was full. The breakfast, which is included is continental...

Richmond Hill Hotel is a gem of a find. Great value; new, comfortable beds; clean and spacious with very friendly, helpful staff. Location could not be better. For a 3 star it punches well above its weight. Thanks for a great stay

This is more like an old-fashioned guest house than a hotel. Located outside the city, it is my choice of easy accommodation when I am Melbourne for work. It is quieter than the city and in a leafy area of Richmond. While there are rooms with en suites available, the rooms without en suites are extremely affordable - even on...

Reasonable hotel located in Richmond. Hotel people are so nice. But hotel facility is a bit old. I stayed at the room with shared bath room (small size for big guy) just to watch Australian Open tennis (about 20 min on foot). Short stay would be OK for me. I recommend to bring shampoo and soap with you.

Richmond Hill Hotel is probably the best value in town if you are coming for the Australian Open Tennis. Close to trams that take you straight to the Australian Open, or straight into the Melbourne CBD. There is off-street parking and a great continental breakfast all included in the price. Service from the staff was consistently professional and friendly -...
