Me and my wife stopped here on a road trip from the Kruger. The plan was to stay for one day. But Wessels and his wife were so hospitable and suggested a whole bunch of stuff we could do in the area. We ended up staying and extra day. And it really feels like home when you are outside and...

Dear Luvhengo It was an honour to host you. Lydenburg has so much to do and experience. Lydenburg is 50 km from everywhere. Experience the Drakensberg Escarpment, the Highveld, the Lowveld, the scenic routes, the fauna and flora, the history, the people, but to name a few! You will need to come back for at least a week. Book in...

For a town the size of Lydenburg, this hotel was adequate in terms of what they could provide. A couple of things we were unhappy with; there were two dogs roaming freely around the hotel, one of which (a large Alsatian) barked at guests and got threateningly close to us. We were assured by the hosts it was friendly, but...

Dear Ishmael As I so often say: we are human and we are bound to make mistakes. We apologize for not meeting your standards. The dog you referred to was a visiting dog and not a permanent member of Amani. Being a small establishment we try and respond to our guests requirements: We seldom get a request for sparkling water...

What a pleasant place to stay! This place is located near the newer part of Lydenburg, and not out of town like the address would suggest. It is located on a beautiful property with a magnificent view. The room I stayed in had a full bathroom, great finishing touches and the curtains blocked out all light which made for a...

Apart from the friendly staff & beautiful rooms, the food was definitely the best part. Three course meals served every night , from lamb shank to creme brulee & sticky chocolate pudding. We stayed for 4 Nights & the hosts were very helpful & friendly & even helped with our baby when we sat down for breakfast/dinner.

This was a stop over hotel for us on our way to Kruger National Park. My husband and I travel extensively and have stayed in a variety of hotels around the world. I was not really sure what to expect in this little hotel as it was arranged for us by some dear friends. It was a lovely surprise in...

This is one of the best accommodation spots in South Africa. It has won multiple awards and I can understand why. With it tucked away in a silent nook in Lydenburg you expect less but get so much more. The owners and staff make you feel right at home and constantly go the extra mile. Worth every cent 😊.

Thank you for your kind words. It was indeed a hectic week with 3 weddings, the interhigh at the Lydenburg High School etcetera. If it is that busy it is so easy to slip up on service. We hope to see you soon to show you all the amazing things Amani and Lydenburg has to offer!
