Four us stayed over for the night, between doing the two days of the Sabie MTB. Rooms neat and clean. Supper was stunning. Tasted all the beers, some excellent beers. Very nice large fire place, cosy to sit around and Chat. We had to leave early and so Heidi organized packed breakfasts for us. Wonderfull stay.

This microbrewery is the highest in Africa. Excellent Kolsch. Low carbonated beers are always good. Food was okay. Owners are very friendly. The drive up is extremely scenic although sometimes dodgy with the plantation traffic. Well worth the effort.

After simply googling South African Breweries, Hops Hollow appeared on our radar. We opted to stay here after an all day trip around the Panoramic Route and were not disappointed! Modern rooms were met with friendly service from Freddie and Hester, hot meals and delicious beer. Ingredients are expensive for South Africans & mostly imported so don't expect a wide...

We stopped off at Hops Hollow after being there about 6 years ago. It was to purchase their Beers (which my husband thoroughly enjoys). As usual, friendly staff to greet and assist. Always worth the visit whilst travelling in the area.

We had planned to stop here for lunch en route, taking the longer more scenic route just to taste new beer. As we pulled into the drive, the mist was heavy and we were looking forward to the roaring fire and tasting some new craft beers. The parking lot sign said "Welcome, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays". It was Tuesday....

Having stopped briefly whilst travelling from Sabie to Lydenburg, we thought we would opt to stay overnight at Hops Hollow and avoid any drink/drive problems. The hotel element is functional and appropriate for the setting with a very comfortable bed. As it was winter, the additional blankets were very useful although an electric blanket would have been appreciated, as would...

Thank you brew master for showing us around the brewery, and allowing us a private and personalized tasting!! Job well done. If other brew masters had your passion !!! Beers should cater for different pallets....so its true to say, that you very rarely like all the beers in one sitting. Quality of the water makes Hops Hollow a great little...

We stopped off on our way to the Kruger Park as part of a Micro Brewery Road trip from Johannesburg to the Kruger. It was cold and rainy and place was empty. We tasted all the beers, which was good. Colling the Brewer and myself got into a long chat about brewing beer etc. Very proud of his Beers !...

Like others, we stopped for brews only and did not stay here. If you are seeking a quiet hotel between Joburg and Kruger, this would be one to consider. It is an attractive place, the owner was congenial and helpful, and the beers were good. Not all of our group liked all of the beers, but we all liked some...

We stayed in Hops Hollow on our way back from Kruger to JoBurg. We were lucky to find this place as a last minute booking over easter. The room was clean and fully functional. Maybe a bit overpriced... The beer was really good, as was dinner, too. Overall a good place to stay one night if you want a nice...
