Red Monkey Lodge is a smaller lodge just by the beach with a very familiar and cool atmosphere. This is our second stay at Red Monkey and we are just as happy this time as last time. The lodge has a small restaurant with really nice food (I think the chef really like his job, because the food is cooked... More

I stayed at Red Monkey Lodge for 5 nights with a friend. The locations is great, directly by the beach, and the staff is really friendly. The rooms are good size, but they could be cleaner, specially sheets and towels. On our 2nd day there, we had a very bad smell in the room, like gasoline. We complained to the... More

Great place to relax and forget about everything else. Very nice and competent staff, very clean rooms. Very relaxing place - and yet enough activities available. Either organized by he hotel or the kit surf school right next to the lodge. Rooms are decorated locally and are about 5 meters from the ocean (at high tide).

Amazingly beautiful location! Well maintained rooms, very clean and authentic. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, especially when you have an early breakfast and the monkeys are watching you from the trees. Another thing what I liked is that they mostly use local products, and also are aware not to spill food... More

We spent 2 weeks in the red monkey lodge and are generally spoken very happy with it. There are 12 familiar, nice and clean bungalows. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes this place very special. Also the food was always fresh and very tasty. They offer a broad variaty of menus for lunch and dinner using mainly local ingredients.... More

Everything perfect during our 12 days in August. Family rooms for 4 has a great view and comfortable beds. The breakfast is always a pleasure. But what make this place different is the local people working in the lodge or visiting the beach during the day (the village of Jambiani is just behind you). They are special.

Very nice simple lodge. We had room no. 1, quite a big room with a big bathroom and a balcony that had a perfect view over the sea. They have a small but very good restaurant and the service is great. As the name already says, there are Red Colobus Monkeys around. They are wild, but sometimes come quite close.... More

Brilliant night at the Red Monkey Lodge. Very cute inside with a lot of character. It was a jam night when we went so local artists performed and the crowd was a very friendly interesting mix of people enjoying the atmosphere. You would never expect this place when you approach from outside but definitely worth the visit!

I was here in June, the weather was warm but not sticky as there was plenty of wind, the beach was sumptuous. Staying for five days, I enjoyed the sanctuary the rooms provided, with their clean and tranquil ambiance, I recommend the upstairs quarters as you get gorgeous views. It's very quite and homey at Red Monkey, though its a... More
