We just stayed here 1 night, before heading to Mabul. I had a private room with an ensuite. It was basic but clean and had everything I needed (except a towel, which you can get from reception if you put down a deposit). The room was dirt cheap, so for the price I thought it was great. Good breakfast at...

I stayed 2 nights in this hostel, one before going to Mabul (private room) and one night afterwards (dorm). private room: really nothing special. dorm: too cramped. small room downstairs to socialize. I was really not impressed.

Positive: Clean bed (bed only), nice staff, and easy Tawau airport pickup/drop-off available via SJ. Close to docks and has an ok restaurant next door. Negative: Moldy bathrooms and shower that smell of urinal cakes and are very unclean, no places to hang things in the shower, open drains, unreliable hot water, very weak shower pressure, smell of moth balls...

We stayed twice: before and after our 4 day trip to Mabul island. The first night was in a private room with a shared bathroom. There was only one toilet for the entire floor (another had an out of order sign that had clearly been up for a while), and that toilet also had a shower in it, so everything...

This backpackers is pretty nice. It's really quite and most of the guest are here for diving. That means. Everybody is getting up quite early. The price if you dive are alright. 25RM per night for the dorm of 75RM for a private room with share bathroom. The common area is not big but alright and it's the only place...

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Picked the ensuite room and the bed was huge. Location is right across the street from many scuba offices which is convenient if transferring to Mabul the next day as we were. Had to give a RM10 deposit for a towel which I thought was a bit strange but I guess they have problems with...

While the standard of the acommodation was quite poor (dirty, run down showers, only one working for the whole upper floor) the staff made up for it. The receptionist knew out names and personally walked us to the bus station and got us a cheaper ticket. In terms of diving with scuba junkie - it was amazing! The instructors were...

We stayed there before and after our stay on mabul, the place is located close to the harbour and the restaurants. Ok rooms with AC to a affordable price. The Pizzas from their restaurant next to the hotel is fantastic!

Accomodation I arrived at Scuba Junkie Dive Lodge in Semporna after 5 days spent in Scuba Junkie Mabul Beach Resort. Customers must know that they are two different type of accommodation and not at the same place at all. Scuba Junkie Dive Lodge is located in Semporna, 1 hour away from Mabul Island (which you can reach with a ferry)....
