Not walking distance at all. From the sanctuary, it is a 30 minute walk to the main road. You cross over three small river crossings. From the road, you take a taxi or shuttle to montezuma which is about 10/15 minutes. The sanctuary is beyond beautiful and an experience that is well worth the travel. Good luck!
